Elite Fitness Downtown
214 N Broadway, Santa Ana, CA 92701, United States
I’m not a person that loves going to the gym or to include it in my fitness regime, it has always intimidated me. My idea of staying healthy and being fit was going for a walk or if I was feeling real adventurous, I would complete a full day of hiking.Unfortunately during one of those hikes, I injured my knees a bit and used this as an excuse to stop my work out routine,November of last year, I decided to give Elite a try. As I completed a tour with the owner Joaquin, I immediately noticed they really cared about their clients. They were engaged, personable and motivating. As I started my sessions I noticed Joaquin along with the trainers are amazing in making you feel comfortable and build your confidence by teaching you the why’s behind your work outs. That’s actually one of the reasons why I enjoy going!Through the trainers guidance, I now understand the importance of using proper body mechanics to target specific muscles and completing each work out properlyI am more confident to the point where the gym no longer intimidates me. I’ve learned to have fun and challenge myself during my fitness journey.Elite, your work outs are structured, fun, and most importantly (from a beginners point of view) educational!I definitely recommend stopping by and meeting the Elite Team! It’s also a chance for you to visit downtown Santa Ana! It still has that historic beauty with an artistic feel to it.Thanks Elite for giving me the confidence to get back into my fitness journey!

I had high hopes for this gym. Theres a lot of great things about it but its poor floor plan brought my rating down significantly. The positives:- the pool area is great. Its outdoors and has lots of room.- the basketball court is awesome, I wont ever use it but its huge and also outdoors.- the rig they have setup at the functional training area is awesome. This is the first 24 Ive seen with a complete set of bumper plates. The negatives:the floor plan isnt the best.- The rig I mentioned in the previous section does not have nearly enough room for its intended purpose. Theres not enough room to use the TRX suspension trainers and its difficult to use the barbells and do power lifts with such little room.- the cubicle for the personal trainers is nearly smack dab in the middle of the functional training area right next to the TRX/powerlifting rig.- the kettle bells should be moved over towards the open floor area and not stuck near the corner where there is no room to use them, especially for swings and thrusts.- theres no designated walk space for people to get to the cycling and group x rooms so theres constantly people walking through the already cramped functional training area. Not a great idea and a complete liability when people are trying to power lift.- the cardio section is way too big. There are too many cardio machines. This isnt the 90s anymore. People dont do as much cardio as they used to, especially now with many women lifting as well. They should have used more of that space for more weights, resistance machines, and especially the functional training area. This place is brand new so everything is clean and for the most part all the weights are in the proper positions. I hope they dont end up like all the other 24s in the area and stop keeping up with the maintenance.*Update* 8/21/2015So theyve had the bumper plates removed for almost 3 months now. When they first removed them they told me they were going to move the huge power rack/rig over to the ...

I work mainly on the equipment with a personal trainer. Briana, the manager, is excellent and always on top of any questions I may ask. The personal trainer is Stephen Higgins who is also outstanding. I have had to postpone my training twice now because of foot surgery. When I do return to training, Steve seems to know what I am able to do. He doesnt just pick up from where I last left off, but designs a program emphasizing what I am now capable of doing. He also concentrates on what I am doing rather than putting his attention elsewhere. Both of these employees are a credit to your organization.

Great place to train, but even better trainer, it takes a lot to keep me motivated and Zeb does just that, the prices for one on one are truly affordable considering others gyms with personal trainers In the area. Ive only been training since November & everything is starting to look Hel*a NICE (in my Tiffany Haddish voice). Im So happy to finallyget with a trainer who is just as determined as me to get results and its great to be able to see some progress, this experience is far better than any other personal trainers Ive tried. Im so glad i can finally see the booty bootying if you know what I mean LoL.Great place, Great trainer, Great results, dont be shy Give this place a Try, you wont be dissapointed!

Built Different Training Facility
2031 E 1st St unit A9, Santa Ana, CA 92705, United States
I switched from going to a regular gym to built different just earlier this year and I can definitely feel what a difference it is. Built Different is a little smaller than your average gym but since it is more of a private and sleek gym there are more open machines which helps you have a more effective work out instead of waiting around for something to open. The atmosphere is dark and can be intimating for a first-timer but they also play really good music and everyone is welcoming from the clients to the trainers.I was never interested in my own personal fitness until I was assigned to Zeb who always listened to my concerns and made workouts that would not only give me results but still lets me feel comfortable in my body. He is always cheering me on when I want to give up and has shown me time and time again that I am much stronger than how I see myself.

There isn't enough room here to explain how great of a place orange theory Anaheim hills is becoming in the short amount of time it's been open! I can pretty much say I've done it all. From CrossFit, swim, yoga, global gym, etc. You name it, I've probably done it. I've enjoyed each and every one of my experiences to the fullest. I've had the pleasure of making great friends, learning from awesome instructors, and leaving each workout accomplished, and motivated to come back! Although I've enjoyed, and still enjoy trying all types of different workouts, orange theory for me has hit different. I have been attending their classes now for about 2 1/2 years and can say I love it now as much I did day one! (With the exception of orange Everest, give it a shot and you'll know why). Every time I step into a studio I know I'm going to leave drenched, breathless, and feeling great! If you're like me you're going to love the challenge, benchmark days, and along the way building friendly competitions amongst other members. However, if you're more on the shy or reserved side, no worries! The best thing about this place is that each workout is tailored to YOUR own fitness level! You can walk into an Orange Theory never having worked out in your life, and feel completely comfortable knowing no one there is going to judge, critique, or look at you funky for scaling it to your own needs, but more so respect, cheer, and admire you for taking the first step to better yourself!! Listen, we can pick out some of the negatives that some people will point out, the music is sometimes not what you want, the coaches are a little loud, but to be brutally honest if you're looking to pick out minuscule aspect of the gym than you're probably just making an excuse. I will end this review with a simple questions...are you wanting to get into better shape? Are you willing to invest in YOU? Because if you are, Orange Theory is the place to go. Hope to see y'all there soon! ????
