Pilates Room Studios College Mission Gorge
10330 Friars Rd #118, San Diego, CA 92120, United States
This location is great, very clean and convenient. They have ten reformers in this specific studio, I am hoping that they can add on the exo chair and the trapeze in the future, I think that they would need to be in a bigger space in order to accommodate those equipments and a bigger class though. But then, its all good since I always have a great time working out here, not only their instructors are fun, upbeat and friendly, but the workout itself just keeps you wanting more. I rotate Abs and Buns, Jump Power and the classic Reformer, it helps you strengthen your core and just makes those muscles tone. I cant wait for a tighter bod this summer. If you live in San Diego and you want to feel good and happy about yourself, Sign up with The Pilates Room. ;)

Boundless - Womens Fitness & Pilates
3930 Utah St UNIT C, San Diego, CA 92104, United States
Working with Michele at Boundless has been the best gift to myself throughout my first pregnancy (currently ~34 weeks). In my first trimester I knew I wanted to start to strengthen my body to have a healthy pregnancy and to work with someone who is specifically skilled in working with pregnant people. Thats when I found Michele. First we met for an in-person consult at the studio to talk about my goals and how she can help set me up with a solid plan. I immediately knew I was in the best of hands.I bought a 10 session pack of personal training which included private gym membership and with each private session, she guided me through a fantastic workout in the gym, in her neighboring pilates studio, and even some outdoor workouts in the park. She would also provide homework like written or video recorded exercises which helped keep me on track. Each session included a check-in on how I was feeling, lots of encouragement, feedback and modifications when necessary. Her knowledge of body mechanics and anatomy is unparalleled. Ive always felt like I could trust her completely. She would even text me after sessions to ask me how Im doing which I feel you cant find in any other trainer!Michele is truly one of a kind and is wonderfully skilled and talented at what she does. She is THE trainer to go to if you are anywhere on the pregnancy/postpartum spectrum. Training with her helped me develop more confidence in myself and my physical abilities during pregnancy which has been a game changer. I cant wait to get back to working with her postpartum to regain my balance and strength.Thank you so much Michele for everything youve done for me!

This is one of the best private studios and instructors in town! Daniella is just incredible at what she does. One can tell she has studied Pilates, the human body, and movement extensively. She caters each session to your specific needs and requests. You will always walk out of the session feeling stronger and with improved posture. I highly recommend taking sessions with her.

Pilates of San Diego - East Village
450 Tenth Ave #125, San Diego, CA 92101, United States
... owner Ania London and her talented band of instructors (Annie, Anel, Sheena, Carina, Fernanda, Yoshi) are the reason I return day after day. In a public class (8 reformers in all) where it’s just about impossible to get one-on-one instruction, they somehow manage to give you the attention you need, from the beginner to the most advanced student, perfecting form while cheering you on. Each instructor has their own style (and music soundtrack), which makes it great for offering variety if you’re a regular, but you can always count on some sort of version that’s not too far off from classical Pilates. Each class can be as challenging or easy as youd like it, depending on what effort youre willing to put in, so its good for all levels. I never leave feeling unsatisfied. Stretch classes are on offer, too, which combine really well with any other class at the studio.I’ve been attending the East Village studio since it opened in August 2016 (I first fell in love with Pilates of San Diego at their Marina District location), and it is a beautiful and motivating contemporary space with high, open ceilings, great ventilation (because you WILL sweat if you’re doing it right!), good sound system and brand-spanking new equipment: 8 reformers with towers, boxes, jump boards, Pilates rings, rubber balls, mats, hand weights of all sizes, and even a Cadillac reformer for private sessions. I expect the equipment to stay in good shape because Ania & her staff lovingly look after the studio (and students!).I cannot speak more highly of Ania, her staff and studio. If you’re ever considering trying reformer Pilates, or looking for a new studio, give this one a shot. Ania offers a killer introductory rate of 4 sessions for $49 or 8 sessions for $89 for new students, which is really a bargain for reformer classes at this caliber, which typically cost upwards of $30 for a drop-in class anywhere. If you’re stuck in an exercise rut or are simply looking for something different, try reformer ...

Beyond Pilates Studio, Kensington
4085 Adams Ave, San Diego, CA 92116, United States
I’ve taken reformer Pilates classes in many studios in San Diego and several states around the US. What I look for in a studio is the reformers, because not all reformers are the same quality. Next, I look at the instructors — do they know what they’re doing; do they care about form and do they guide you in that way. Pilates is a great form of exercise, but form is EVERYTHING. Otherwise you can hurt yourself really bad. I was lucky to have had instructors who care and have taught proper form, so when I’m in class with a teacher who cares not much about how you hold your form, i never come back for a second class. Beyond Pilates has fulfilled my expectations! My experience with the instructors has been great! If you are interested in taking a Pilates class in a studio that has competent instructors and great reformers...do so at BEYOND PILATES. And... I’m going to give a special recommendation to my favorite instructor there who I think is super conscientious about FORM. Alissa Pankow teaches the Reformer Jump Class, which is a workout, and she does a wonderful job! She pays attention to what I do and corrects my firm. I’m grateful. She’s mentally present in class, because some instructors are not. She makes sure you get a good, safe workout. Finally...and this is huge. You can talk to a live person in the office!!! Yay! And the gentleman who I speak with who handles my charges, my account, and anything else related to the business aspect is a joy to deal with! Beyond Pilates...keep up the great job!!! Maria
