Agreed with all the other 5 star reviews of Anna! And if I could add more stars I would!!!!! Best Trainer in San Diego!First, she’s a genius at fitness. She will challenge you with hundreds of different exercises and instantly adapt to your individual needs to find the best movements. She’ll find exercises I enjoy but also challenge me with the exercises I hate but need! And never let me get away with not stretching! :) Every session I’m also learning new things - new health websites, new fitness authors, new recipes, new healthy places to eat, new superfoods to try, new hiking trails, new places for runs, new Fitness apps, new diet tips and the list gos on. So you are not just getting a personal training session - but also a nutrition class, a health class, and a Best-of-San-Diego class, and more! And when I say “and more” I mean that…. She has her own website and Podcasts and articles from Meal Plans to Restaurant Ordering Guides. And she’s always adding to them. So even when I’m not training with Anna, I’m learning things from her podcast and websites which I can then follow up on in our sessions to learn even more.Second, she’s fun! Anna is easy to talk to. She always has a positive attitude. I remember the first time meeting her on a Treadmill at the gym and was like talking to a good friend. There’s never a dull moment with her. Between sets its fun to talk to her. Or during sets when you need to take your mind off the exercise it is easy to talk to her. The hour flies by. I used to always hate going to the gym and hour long sessions or classes would take forever. But with Anna - the time will fly by. I agree with another review that if I could schedule multiple sessions in a day with Anna - I would if I could. I’m a very shy, introverted person but Anna brings out the best in me.Third, she is an incredible person with a big heart. She cares about each of her clients, their goals and their well being. She always has positive uplifting messages and lessons. If ...

... All my life I had been a skinny guy, and trust me, I tried everything. That all changed in the last 4 months - I’ve gained roughly 25lbs of lean body weight and my waist size is still the same!Coming from a family of skinny individuals, I failed on pretty much every bulking attempt. I had tried to gain weight multiple times in the past, trying different programs, books, trainers, etc. Nothing quite had a lasting impact. About 7 years ago I mostly gave up trying and instead began wearing slimmer fitting clothes to give the illusion of looking fit, LOL.But skinny doesnt necessarily mean healthy, even though most friends and coworkers assumed I was healthy, just because I was so thin. They envied my ability to ‘eat anything and not gain weight.’ In reality, that meant I could get super unhealthy on the inside without really showing it on the outside. Id actually had a few health scares in the past couple years. After losing a dear family member recently, it made me realize how truly short life is, and that perhaps I should give bulking and gaining weight one last good attempt. So I decided to hire a personal trainer. When researching trainers, I contacted 9 gyms and trainers in the San Diego area. Most either didnt do that much in-person 1-on-1 training, or catered more to groups or worked out of gyms full of other people. I guess its hard to explain but other gyms also seemed a bit too commercialized and Chris and his gym seemed more genuinely client-focused without the extra flashiness. He seemed less concerned about selling me a package and more about understanding/learning about my personal health and fitness goals.I started working out with Chris in February 2018, weighing about 140-145lbs. Today, about 3.5 months later, I weigh about 165-170lbs, and Im also a lot stronger. The most amazing aspect is that my waist is still the same size! I am now heavier than any immediate family member has been in their entire lives, and this is only the beginning of ...
Personal Trainer San Diego - Iron Orr Fitness
8720 Costa Verde Blvd, San Diego, CA 92122, United States
If you are looking for the best personal trainers San Diego has to offer then look no further. Gotta leave a review in support of my personal trainer Brett. Dude is a super personable and knowledgeable trainer. He will push you like no other and genuinely wants to get you to your fitness goals. He focuses on form/technique and is always super motivated. He goes out of his way to work with your schedule and is always available if you have questions or need recommendations outside of your sessions. The facility is great but the trainers are what set this place in another league from others. In short, if you put the effort and time the Iron Orr team will help you get the job done and your money’s worth!

Joining Crossfit 619 has been one of the best choices Ive ever made. I joined in September of 2012, after feeling frustrated with the level my fitness had fallen to, and with no prior experience in crossfit. Immediately, Chris Keith, the other coaches, and the other members made me feel at home, instructing me on unfamiliar movements and encouraging me to continue attending the classes regularly. I did 30 workouts in my first 30 days and saw considerable changes in my body composition, dropping from barely fitting in a size 5 to easily fitting in a 3. In the year and a half since Ive joined Ive continued to make huge strides in all areas of fitness: running, olympic lifting, body weight movements, and weight loss. I can finally say I feel like an athlete again. As far as the gym itself goes, the new facility is clean, large, and well-kept. The class sizes are perfect, not too big so that you feel lost, but large enough that there is healthy competition and a motivating atmosphere, and theres always plenty of equipment for everyone (barbells, weights, pull up bars, etc). The coaches are knowledgeable, approachable, and helpful. They have no problem providing more detailed one-on-one help for newer members, or fine-tuning the movements of higher level members. Both members and coaches from the gym often compete in local crossfit competitions and theres definitely something for everyone, whether youre the elite level athlete looking to compete at the next level or the more casual crossfitter who merely wants to stay in shape and become a better athlete.Lastly, for the past year and a half since Ive joined, Crossfit 619 has become my family, and my closest friends. When Ive had a tough day at school and need a workout to pick me up, the other members and coaches are always there to motivate me and remind me what it is that I love about crossfit, the community and the support that comes with it. Ive met incredible people here and never feel anything but comfortable and at-home from the second I walk into the gym. I love Crossfit 619 and hope that if youre reading this review youll take the chance to come down to the gym and see what an amazing place it is and meet the incredible people that work out here. If you come check it out I promise you wont be disappointed!
Lift With Joe Personal Training
1205 W Morena Blvd A, San Diego, CA 92110, United States
Having had difficulty with increasing weight, shoulder pain, and creating a workout routine that fit for me, I decided to research personal trainers in San Diego that could support a beginner. Finding Joe was everything that I was looking for.Joe is a gay personal trainer that made sure that I felt seen in my own gay identity. Doing this by simply communicating in ways that made me feel comfortable or being able to understand who I was outside of the gym and how that could impact how I felt in the gym. Beyond that, I met Joe with shoulder pain that limited the weight and exercises that I was able to do. Joe adapted my workout in a way that brought me to 25Ibs to around 60Ibs. I forgot my shoulder pain existed, but Joe always made sure to ask about it – just in case.Unfortunately, having had a change in my schedule, I could no longer see Joe. However, Joe made sure throughout my time with him that I knew proper form, how to use weights safely, and made sure that I was set up to transition into working out alone.Investing in a personal trainer was a huge reward. I felt stronger, was told by peers and strangers that I looked good/in shape, and was able to begin to beat strangers in drunken arm-wrestling competitions. All of this being due to Joe and my time with him. Highly recommend investing in yourself by allowing Joe to train you.
Werk Fitness Rent Gym Space Personal Trainers
1205 W Morena Blvd, San Diego, CA 92110, United States
I started training clients at Werk Fitness on Morena Blvd in July and its a BIG improvement from the previous gym I coached at.From the location alone Ive already been able to get a couple of new clients thru referrals and outreach since its so convenient to get here from Hillcrest, North Park, Adams Ave, University Heights, and even Downtown / Little Italy.Always positive energy at this location. The other trainers are here to coach and build their businesses. Everyone is working to improve themselves and help as many people as possible. The other personal trainers here at Werk Fitness in Bay Park are very professional and courteous, always being mindful of space and asking nicely before grabbing equipment you might be using. The owner of the personal training facility, Armando, is always very receptive to feedback from the coaches. In the last two months there have already been improvements to the lighting and other cosmetic improvements to ensure a professional private training studio feel.Im glad to rent gym space for personal training here, especially since I get access to TWO locations. I tend to train morning clients at this location which is great since its less than 10 minutes from home.I can accommodate my clients no matter what part of San Diego they live in. This location is actually double the size of the other one so my clients always feel comfortable. Theres never any issues with my clients parking right in front of the gym for their sessions either.Highly recommend checking this place out if youre a personal trainer looking for a private training studio to train your clients at in San Diego!
San Diego Personal Training

This place is a hidden gem in San Diego. I would always hate going to large gyms that weren’t clean and overpacked. It would be hard to get a workout in with members all hogging down the equipment. Enter San Diego Personal Training: it’s a private studio that only has personal training clients here. My trainer and I never have an issue with space and using equipment. The place is immaculately clean and has top notch equipment like Rogue and hoist. They have an awesome outdoor area with tires. Also having a private shower and towel service to shower and get to work is a huge plus. You won’t be disappointed if you come here. They have the most professional and knowledgeable trainers and therapists in the field there!

Ive been training with Nemezio from Omnifit for the past few months, and I have to say, he's helped me get into the best shape of my life. Right from the start, it was clear that Nemezio knew his stuff. He took the time to understand where I was starting from, what I wanted to achieve, and any limitations I had. This meant that every workout felt tailored just for me—challenging but never overwhelming.Nemezios expertise shines through in every session. He kept the workouts varied and interesting, mixing strength training, cardio, and flexibility exercises in a way that always kept me engaged and seeing progress. He paid close attention to my form and technique, which helped me avoid injuries and get the most out of each exercise. What really set Nemezio apart was his constant support and motivation. There were days when I felt less than enthusiastic about working out, but his positive attitude and encouraging words kept me going. He was always checking in, celebrating my progress, and helping me push through any plateaus with new strategies and exercises.Nemezio didnt just focus on the workouts, though. He gave me valuable advice on nutrition and recovery, helping me understand how important these aspects are for overall fitness. His tips on meal planning, staying hydrated, and getting enough rest made a big difference in how I felt and performed. The results have been amazing. I've lost weight, gained muscle, and improved my overall fitness. I feel stronger, more energetic, and more confident than ever. Training online with Nemezio was also super convenient. Being able to fit sessions into my busy schedule made it much easier to stick with my fitness routine. And even though we were training virtually, the quality of the sessions never felt compromised. In short, Nemezio from Omnifit is a fantastic personal trainer who has truly transformed my fitness journey. His knowledge, personalized approach, and unwavering support have led to incredible results. If you're looking to get in shape and reach your fitness goals, I can't recommend Nemezio enough.
