F45 Training Costa Mesa Square
3030 Harbor Blvd, Square E, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, United States
I live in Pennsylvania and have a membership to a local F45. I was in California for my sons wedding and found a F45 in Costa Mesa. I got the owner, Bobby's contact information and emailed him to ask if it would be possible to participate in a class. Since it was almost 7:30 pm I did not expect a reply until the next morning but Bobby responded quickly. Our conversation was done via email and Bobby was more than willing to answer my questions which he did politely and patiently even though it was getting late.He offered to have me come and participate in a class and gave me the class times. He was willing to let me have a complimentary workout and just asked if I would be able to write a short review afterwards.I was very appreciative of his offer and planned to go to a class the next morning. Unfortunately I overslept and didn't make it to the class. I was very disappointed and felt terrible for all the time he took to answer my questions only to have me not show up.I sent him a message to apologize for not making it to the class and thanked him for his time and the offer to participate. He sent me a message saying that it was better for me to get some rest prior to my sons wedding because I was going to need it. He told me not to feel guilty about missing a workout and to enjoy myself at the wedding.Even though I didn't get to do a workout I still wanted to write a review. I would highly recommend going to this location based on the interactions I had with Bobby the owner. He is a kind, patient, polite and understanding person who cares about others. He was able to help me stop being so hard on myself for not exercising and to relax and take the time to enjoy my sons wedding day.
OC Safety BLS, CPR First Aid, Pediatric CPR & A...
3303 Harbor Blvd Suite D-1, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, United States
I had a great experience at OC Safety CPR and First Aid Training. My GoogleMaps app had this logged in at the wrong location, but Scott and John were very helpful and patient; they guided me to the right location and stayed on the phone to make sure I got there in time. The training I received with them was very informative and engaging. They shared their personal experiences with us and always paused to take questions and check for comprehension. Out of all of the places that I have received training, this was the best one because the videos were up to date, the supplies were up to date, all of the equipment was very clean, there were plenty of breaks, they supplied coffee and drinks, and the teachers had a wonderful attitude. I usually feel uncomfortable about the mouth to mouth section on the CPR dummies, but, unlike other places I have been to, OC Saftey gave us new, disposable masks, so we did not have to actually touch the dummies with our mouths. The Dummies are great because they light up if you are doing the CPR correctly; that really helped me learn and feel confident that I was doing it the right way. I definitely plan to come here again for my next training session.

This place has serious safety issues. My son went to the Saturday pick-up game on Sept 2nd, 2023. The kids started to play extremely violently towards each other. Things got quickly escalated, and the workers there simply pretended they didnt see it. Until my son was intentionally pushed hard into the unpadded metal goal and hitting the back of his head against the metal bar, which is right at the height of kids head and face. That full metal cage goal was designed for digitally counting shots for goal shooting exercise, not for scrimmages. The workers there simply were to lazy to move them away and put in proper safer goals for scrimmages. He had to sit out for half an hour due to dizziness and severe pain. A few minutes later, another kid was punched in the lower jaw and needed help. Thats when I stepped in and told the worker that they really needed to control the game. Instead of controlling or sitting out the uncontrollable violent players. The Asian worker there kept arguing back with me. I stood firm and demanded him to control the dangerous game. The parents also started to argue and trash talking. Especially the more violent kids parents. Finally, the lazy worker had to stepped in slightly more from my pressure. But the violent game continued because it was rewarded, so we decided to leave. This is a very dangerous and out of control place for kids. The worker are more into hiding at their corners to chat, instead of watching the safety of the players and parents confrontations to towards each other. They are enabling violent players and bad parents behaviors. They use unpadded heavy metal goals at kids head height, which is extremely dangerous for kids to be pushed against. Its a disaster waiting to happen. In conclusion, the workers there were irresponsible, and the equipment is not safe. Kids will get severely injured. Its only a matter of time for sure. The owner of this business needs to know. If thats how they choose to conduct their business, the lawsuit will not be far away. There was absolutely no excuse for anything happened there.

Hello,Becoming a single dad at 47 years old, I found myself with twin girls that were19 months old.I was also left with their 2 brothers, 43 months old and 11 years old.I have found that nothing truley prepares you for what you are going to experince in parenthood. :)So pretty much in desperation I reached out for help.I attended several parenting classes the first 2 months of becoming a single dad. These classes worked on stages of childrens development, nutrition, healthy habits. All really important information to have in my parenting tool box.I was then introduced to L&L.I attended my first Love and Logic class in September 2012.The techniques taught in the L&L parenting classes changed my thinking about parenting, my realtionship with my children and changed my outlook in life as a parent.I attended the L&L parenting classes with 4 kids in tow, both the Early childhood and Parenting the L&L Way parenting classes every week for 20 months. In May 2014 the facilitator took me to Colorado to become certified to facilitate the L&L parenting classes.Since then I have taught the L&L parenting classes weekly in our community in Eureka Ca.The best take away I share when people ask what L&L has done for me I explain, L&L taught me how to get in control of my emotions first before I even think about parenting.I have learned through my experience as a dad and working with parents that most times children act out for underlying reasons.Being able to take a breath has allowed me a deeper understanding of my children needs and improved my relationship with them as they are now teenagers.I have had the honor to work with so many parents over the years and share my experiences, strength and hope while facilitating the L&L parenting classes.Second to parenting facilitating the L&L parenting classes has been the most rewarding adventure I have undertaken. To parents who do not know what to do, tired of nothing changing or are just plain ol frustrated you are not alone.I would encourage you to reach out, enjoy a L&L parenting class sit back and laugh your way into parenting.
The Smart Fit Method
2675 Irvine Ave suite e, Costa Mesa, CA 92627, United States
I have been a member at SmartFit Costa Mesa since it opened. This is the perfect place for our family to stay fit and to be part of a great community. I'm 70 so my main goal is to hang on to my muscles and in fact I've gained additional muscles. My special needs adult son also attends and the staff is so wonderful with him and they keep him active. He's never been in better shape and this is such a great solution for him since he hates to exercise. But here it's quick and fun. Extremely easy to do business with, caring and friendly staff that at this point are almost an extension of our family, and a great workout in minimum time. What's not to love! Highly recommend. Stop in and see Kamela and the team today!
Rockreation Sport Climbing Center
1300 Logan Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, United States
My husband and I were visiting California to binge on a pretty sinful food tour after hiding in our basement for the past two years. After a few days of basically guzzling oil, butter, and carbs, we needed to find a solution to digest to make room for two more days of food. Thats why we came to Rockreation because 20 mins of climbing is practically 2 hrs of a regular gym.The staff was nice and accommodating. They were professional and were super informative/nice in letting me know that there arent auto belay systems at the gym. But no worries, they have a huge selection of routes for lead climbing, trad climbing, and an awesome cave (basically 7 sections within and outside of it) for bouldering. + 1 for a dedicated traversing wall. I find the routes creatively set and not just routes where you can power through with raw muscles. The fitness facility includes other regular gym equipment and hang boards. I do find it unique that the routes difficulties arent marked. Its pretty beneficial because it encourages people to try out routes theyd normally wouldnt try if it was ranked.I love this gym - too bad I dont live locally here. :(

My heart swells with gratitude when I reflect on the profound impact Dr. Daniel Amen has had on my life. In December 2019, I found myself amidst the wreckage of overwhelming anxiety, feeling as though my world had crumbled around me. Yet, like a beacon of hope, Dr. Amens wisdom illuminated my path when I needed it most. From the moment I immersed myself in his teachings, I felt a transformative shift within me. Dr. Amens insights served as a guiding light, reminding me that my brain is the epicenter of my existence, the very foundation upon which everything else is built. With each lesson, I felt a renewed sense of purpose and clarity washing over me, like a refreshing wave of possibility. But it wasnt just knowledge; it was empowerment. Dr. Amen didnt just impart information; he equipped me with the tools and understanding necessary to embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery. Through his courses, I found the strength to rebuild, to rise from the ashes of despair into a future filled with promise and potential.I am infinitely blessed to have crossed paths with Dr. Amens teachings, and I wholeheartedly recommend his courses to anyone seeking transformation and renewal. 24 Hour Fitness
555 W 19th St, Costa Mesa, CA 92627, United States
I recently attended several yoga classes led by Roda, and I must admit that my experience was quite frustrating and disappointing. I feel compelled to share my thoughts and observations about her teaching style as I believe its important for prospective students to have an honest perspective. One of the most significant issues I encountered in Rodas class was her condescending attitude and her tendency to make rude statements towards students. Yoga is supposed to be a welcoming and inclusive practice, and its disheartening to see a teacher who fails to embrace these principles. Its essential to remember that not all students are at the same skill level or have the same physical capabilities. Some students may have health issues that prevent them from executing poses perfectly, and its the responsibility of the yoga teacher to create an environment where everyone feels supported and encouraged.Unfortunately, in Rodas class, I noticed a lack of empathy and understanding when it came to students who faced challenges due to health issues or language barriers. For instance, some students, may not be fluent in English and rely on visual cues to imitate the poses accurately. Instead of accommodating such students, Roda was overly controlling and discouraged students from looking around to correct their poses. This created a sense of discomfort and inadequacy among those who needed visual guidance.Furthermore, Rodas verbal instructions were often incomplete, which added to the frustration of students who were struggling to follow along. Its crucial for a yoga teacher to provide clear and concise guidance to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the practice. Incomplete instructions not only hindered the learning process but also raised concerns about the potential for injuries during the class. In summary, my experience with yoga teacher Roda left me feeling disheartened and frustrated. Her condescending attitude, lack of empathy towards students with health issues or language barriers, and incomplete instructions made it challenging to enjoy and benefit from her classes. Yoga is meant to be an inclusive and nurturing practice, and I hope that Roda can reflect on her teaching methods and make the necessary adjustments to create a more welcoming and supportive environment for all students.
