This gym may look intimidating when you first walk in, however once you take a class here you quickly realize it's the opposite of that. The trainers are educated, knowledgeable, professional, and above all- the kindest people you'll ever meet at a gym. This is not one of those places that looks upon newcomers as annoyances. They help you perfect your form and if you don't know how to do an exercise they take the time to show you how to properly execute it. Another (of the many) awesome things about this place is each pod has its own equipment so you can try different pods every time you come and there's always a new exercises. I've learned so many different exercises i've never seen before by coming here. Strength days are my favorites, cardio days are gnarly, they have a live DJ on Saturdays, and you won't leave this place without dripping in sweat. This is by far the best team workout establishment I've ever been to and am so glad i found them.

6/26/24 - F45 is the best start to my day!!!! I generally go daily M-F and get grumpy if I don't get in at least 5 workouts a week! ?. Love the variation in workouts and the trainers are amazing…. So motivating, positive and helpful!!! Can't imagine ever going to a different gym! LOVE F45 Bressi Ranch! ❤️???️12/14/23 - Adding to my review. Ive now been going here for over two years. Absolutely love it more everyday!!!! The workouts are always new and challenging and the trainers are the ABSOLUTE best. This place and these people are definitely my gym family!!!!I joined F45 in Sept 2021 and absolutely LOVE it. Pre-COVID I went to a boot camp style gym. Similar concept but only 30 min. I really really liked that gym but when things opened back up I wanted to try something similar but new and with longer workouts. F45 is PERFECT. I love every aspect of this gym! The facility is amazing, as are the workouts. The variety between the days of the week and changing it up every few weeks is awesome. Keeps it fresh and targets every part of your body. A great mix between strength and cardio. The coaches? WOW just wow…. They are all absolutely AMAZING. They are encouraging, motivating and energetic!!! They help us focus on form and know exactly when and how to challenge us! I don't know how but they know everyone and their ability and know exactly when to push us!! I broke my thumb about a month after I joined and they all rallied to help me modify workouts every time I needed it! BEST gym EVER! If you haven't tried it, do it!! You will not regret it! Cheers to F35 Bressi and the amazing trainers!

The cheapest & best swim lessons and strength training gym in So Cal! Very qualified trainers.Very nice facility, feels more like an expensive club than a public pool. They even have a strength training gym, adequately equipped to build as much strength as you like and no waits. Just for the gym alone its worth cancelling your expensive gym membership imo.But the biggest selling point is its very peaceful. I dont know why but sitting poolside with the breeze and the hills feels more serene than any beach. Instantly Zen the second you sit down. Im hard-pressed to find a place that feels more instantaneously halcyon south of Glen Ivy. It feels like everything you hope to get from backpacking or camping or majestic views in nature. The pools are heated which means any time is a great time for a swim. Various aquatic training tools are available such as floats to help people of all levels (athlete to rehab to beginner) train, exercise or swim leisurely without sinking or getting winded. Theres not a lot of chlorine but goggles are recommended.Everyone seems kind and leisurely, great place to network or make classy friends (or set up playdates). There is a huge jacuzzi that is almost always empty although everyones so nice there you never mind if you have company. The jacuzzi is hot enough to be therapeutic but not so hot you get sweaty or dizzy. You can comfortably stay in until about the time you are satiated and leave rejuvenated. Very nice locker and shower facility with nice, hot showers with 2 in 1 shampoo body wash. The only warning is it is always windy here, much more so than the beach or anywhere else in Carlsbad. And the wind is cold, even on 75 degree days in August in the middle of the day it can be downright unpleasant and Im the guy who goes shorts and no jacket before 9pm all winter. As in everyone is saying its cold but a mile away at Bressi no wind. So if youre sitting while your kid is swimming, cover your skin unless its a heatwave because the wind is stingingly cold like make you so playing on your phone so you can put your hands on your pockets cold. But windbreaker not coat because the temperature is always the same as the rest of Carlsbad, its just that darn cold breeze.
Museum of Making Music
5790 Armada Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92008, United States
Nice looking area and setting, plenty of parking. Apparently many volunteers to assist patrons.Acoustics are better in seats at or near the the back of the room than in the front several rows. Definitely better than in the front row. Despite the fact that there are smaller speakers farther back from the stage, the poor up-front acoustics are because they never set up the sound equipment properly. Too often I have been in the front row, only to experience horribly loud, even painful sound.Poor planning for some events, such as the beer tasting in conjunction with classical music? Long line surrounding the auditorium, arriving at one corner of the room with ONE person serving dinky tasted of beer, which is from ONLY ONE brewery. Poorly conceived, poorly executed.Another time, a blond woman, the director, SHOUTED into the microphone, literally blaster HERSELF at the audience. All others who used that same mike were appropriate in their demeanor and speaking voices. There you have the reason that this place is a good idea, in a nice setting, but it falls on its face because the narcissistic selfishness of director herself is the primary objective of the organization. Those few events, above, were so unpleasant, therefore off putting, that I subsequently declined to continue my previous contributions to, or my regularly patronizing of, MOMM. Too bad that selfish egos of the director. and ill conceived, clumsy, tacky social stunts, and improperly coordinated and arranged performance events - including the sloppy, unprofessional stage and sound production... Too bad those things pull the rug out from otherwise ostensibly good intentions. The narcissism of the management, which is not true leadership, gets in its own way.Notice the inordinately long, haughty backlash? That which confirms the narcissism?Aw gee. Well? This place has problems, the most significant of which which is that the management refuses to consider anything beyond their own narcissistic ego - to their obvious detriment.
Village Faire
300 Carlsbad Village Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92008, United States
I like the Village Faire a lot for when I have friends or family visiting from out of town. There's a lot to do and there are some cute shops located in the village that my friends and family like to go to, to purchase small mementos from their time here in San Diego.I also like the village faire because it is fairly close for me personally in terms of travel time. There are multiple options for bar and food serving businesses. You have Coyote Bar & Grill, Sushi Yama, The Compass, etc.Vinaka is a great cafe that definitely seems to attract a lot of people. It's popular for college kids to come in and get coffee while studying and having small study groups. There are entertainment options down on the ground floor near the fountain. They have a “life” size chess set that you can play with. There's turf in the area surrounding the fountain which is good for the kids that play around it.Parking options are a little complicated if you plan on spending a decent amount of time at the village faire. The best option for parking is the Coaster parking which does not have a time limit for how long you can park there for. Most of the parking spots designated as village faire parking usually have a three hour parking limit during peak business hours. There are a few one hour only parking spots.I like the village faire but there are some downsides for people who want to go out later in the evening. The coyote bar & grill does attract a pretty diverse range of people, a lot of military members come out here when they want to get away from Oceanside- which sometimes isn't very great for others because they can get pretty rowdy and they usually travel in large groups.
Pizza Port Carlsbad
571 Carlsbad Village Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92008, United States
This is the first Google review I've written and honestly I didn't want to write it. I called Pizza Port once I was home and asked to speak to the manager in hopes to resolve the issue, but the manager, Harley was very dismissive and unapologetic and very short when I explained what happened she just said, “Ok!” Perhaps she was the one I actually dealt with while in the restaurant because no one was wearing a name tag so I'm not sure. I called in my order at 6 PM and they told me it would be one hour wait so that's fine, they were busy I totally get it, it would be worth the wait. I showed up at exactly 7 PM and one pizza was ready the other one was lost. My pizza was sitting over on the shelf nowhere near the oven getting cold so clearly it took less than an hour. OK fine. But the other pizza was lost and they couldn't find it so they were going to have to remake it and they were very unapologetic. So since I had to wait another 15 to 20 minutes I asked them to please remake my pizza that was sitting there so that it would not be cold by the time I was home. They looked at me like I asked for a refund and my pizza, I just wanted a new pizza so it wasn't cold. They said they would do it this one time but since there was nothing wrong with my pizza they saw no reason to remake it. So I stood and watched and as I stood and watched the young girl with the black beanie on and braided pigtails gave me dirty looks. Truly I was nice but I should not have had to ask, they should have offered. I felt very uncomfortable. While she gave me dirty looks wearing her blue gloves she scratched her head, she touched her face, she brushed her hair away from her face and then proceeded to handle food and sprinkle toppings on the pizzas as she placed them on the counter, all the while wearing the same blue gloves. Thankfully she didn't have to place last minute toppings on my pizza. My pizzas were finished, she boxed them up, pushed them in my direction and that was it. Got home and the pizzas were very doughy, barely any sauce and not cooked all the way through. It was just a bad experience and literally left a bad taste in my mouth, very disappointing. My husband called and spoke with Grant and he was the only one who apologized and offered resolution via refund. Honestly this is not the first time I have experienced bad service at this location. I shared this because I don't want anyone else to have this experience. Pizza Port in Bressi Ranch is much better! I do not recommend Carlsbad Village.
LOFT
6150 Corte Del Cedro, Carlsbad, CA 92011, United States
I have been doing my CJ (and more recently my Citation 500 series) annual recurrent training at LOFT for twelve years. The instructors there all have vast aviation experience and after every visit, I always feel that I leave there a slightly better pilot than when I arrived.Unlike some of their larger competitors, LOFT can usually organise my training around MY schedule rather than requiring me to somehow fit in with theirs. For a busy corporate pilot this is hugely helpful. In the twelve years that I have been attending LOFT, I have seen them grow from a small operation with one Citation Jet simulator and a handful of instructors into a really busy training centre with new premises, three simulators and loads of instructors. Despite being a much bigger organisation now, I still get a friendly welcome and a personal service.I wouldnt consider going anywhere else.Oh and I travel all the way to Carlsbad from the UK! :)
