The training I have received from No Excuse Fitness helped me reach the D1 collegiate level in water polo. Rich and the other trainers at No Excuse Fitness are very knowledgeable and their expertise of fitness and nutrition is apparent in the results of their clients. I would be lying if I said the training was easy, but at least I went home knowing that I was progressing down the long road of becoming my best self.  Rich also introduced me to the ketogenic diet which has transformed my physique, health, training and most importantly my lifestyle. Rich’s advice on proper nutrition and recovery has been important to my success thus far as an athlete. One of the most overlooked aspects in the personal training industry is proper technique when performing exercises. At No Excuse Fitness, proper technique is stressed above all and was important to me to avoid injury and promote my longevity as an athlete.  In addition, Rich and his staff are really motivated and their energy rubs off when you’re training. This ultimate combination of knowledge, motivation, visible results, technique training and proper nutrition advice is exactly what I was looking for in a trainerand what every future client should be looking for. Greg has helped save my social life and just life in general. I used to be 300 pounds and now am about 145. I put all of my trust into Greg. He is there to watch my form, push me farther and just get into a healthy lifestyle. Greg helps me find what foods would work for me and what to avoid. I honestly use Greg as my GURU! People might say I like to BUG Greg but only because I have become comfortable with my self.Thanks for pushing me to be my best and giving me great encouragement. So grateful to be where I am today. This is a lifestyle not just a new years eve goal for a few months.

I joined The 12 training classes a month ago and I have had the best experience out of every gym or fitness class I have ever tried. The 12 is not just a workout class where you show up, do minimal work, talk to one or two people, and walk out never seeing them again. It is a tight-knit community of people excited about their health and fitness goals and ready to work hard. I have never been a morning person, but now I get up at 4:30 a.m. to go to The 12.All the trainers I have met are awesome: Matt, Jessica, and Miquelle. They know what theyre talking about and have a great mix of humor, energy, and work ethic. Im also very excited about a new trainer starting in the next month, Taylor. Highly recommend these specific trainers and The 12 Costa Mesa!! Two thumbs up and all my fingers and toes. =D

This gym has it all. They have a great selection of classes such as yoga, cycle, shred, and a wide variety of strength classes. Their strength classes are always changing workouts and routines so it keeps your body guessing and growing. They also have a great community! Each class I take I feel like a part of the family. Everyone is always high fiving each other and encouraging their group to keep going and push harder. ALL of their instructors are awesome and very welcoming. Lacie does an amazing job instructing yoga, we try to book her every weekend because my partner and I love her classes. All the strength instructors are awesome as well, as a new member it might seem intimidating joining a new spot, but instructors like James, Blake, Sarah, Alan, Augustine, and Julian are very welcoming and helpful for new members. You really can't go wrong with any of their instructors! They also have a wide variety of Recovery options such as compression booths, red light therapy, red light sauna, and cryotherapy which are PERFECT for those recover days or you just need to unwind. I travel 30 minutes each time I attend this gym and it's worth every mile I drive. I recommended this place to all my friends and family. I'm dedicating all my leg day workouts here (in their Strength - Lowerbody classes) since I had been getting bored with my workouts. They make working out fun and I can't wait to take more classes here! Everything's so clean and the facility is very modern, it is hard to stay away from this place!

I love coming to this 9round location. I started coming here back in September 2017. I had let myself go after a divorce and went back to yoga to get into shape. After going everyday and it not working, I was panicking. My body had changed and I was no longer able to drop weight and get into shape the way I used to. My coworker told me to come to 9Round and I am glad I did.9Round has CHANGED MY LIFE. Not only is it important to work out, it is a mindset of what choices you make each day with food. I was putting in the work but needed to make personal habit changes.Diesel, the manager, is a certified nutritionist and gave me a meal plan to follow. He also followed up with me about actually sticking to it. I was on my way.Then in March and April, there were March Madness and Project Me competitions. I WON SECOND PLACE EACH COMPETITION for losing body fat percentages. I lost 8 pounds and 1.7% body fat in March and 7.5 pounds and 2.7% body fat in April. I GAINED MUSCLE.All of a sudden, people noticed I had lost major weight in 60 days time. I went to get a massage and the lady asked me if I lift weights because she can tell with how defined my arms now are.9Round Costa Mesa off Baker motivated me to change my thinking and that translates over to body image.The best part is the class is 30 minutes. You walk in and they work you into the buzzer rounds. You do not get locked out for being late and there is no pressure to get anywhere before or after work on time.The atmosphere is like one big family. You will make friends with the members and trainers. Everyone goes out of their way to be friendly.The owner is a lady named Holly and she is amazing.The coaches walk around and show you each exercise.Diesel, Carlos, Ian and Olivia are amazing motivators. Before you know it, the 30 minutes is up. In fact, one member (Alfredo) who left to pursue MMA is now back as a trainer because he missed going there so much. He went from member to now coaching us with the skills and esteem he got from 9Round.We are all inspired and so happy to have such a positive outlet.I highly recommend 9Round as your workout choice. You can try it for free with loaner equipment and there is not a big pressuring pitch to join.If you want to change your life, all you have to do is show up for 30 minutes..........the choice is yours.

Im owner of a business, always on the go, finding myself eating all the wrong foods with very little daily activity. Iv been gaining weight and feeling sluggish lately, realizing I need to improve my overall health and look I hired a personal trainer.Ashley Erler works for AIM Fitness in Costa Mesa, She created a program for myself and my work partner to train with her at AIM twice a week and help monitor our daily diet. Within 8 weeks both of us feel 100% better and can see a real change in how we look. Iv lost 8 pounds and have increased my overall strength. Im so thankful I did this for myself and my family. I would recommend Ashley and AIM fitness to anyone who is needing a healthy change, Ashley is knowledgeable in her field and truly cares for her clients success. You wont regret doing it for yourself.

Injury. Started off great for my wife, went thru the motions every week, no issues, even followed them to a new gym further away from our home.They recommended a personal trainer check in coach. Immediately noticed a difference in her no longer enjoying the gym because every time she went she was getting pushed passed her comfort level. Then the trainers felt compelled to push her more during the routines and it led to injury. There’s no protocol for these trainers and it’s clear that the business model they follow is designed for ex-athletes, when not all gym goers are looking for sport coaching. Moved out of the state, still paying for them to have injured my wife. Overall horrible experience.
