Comment: I’ve been training with Eddie Escobar at Ultimate Performance in Brentwood for 7 months. I’m 34 with a toddler and have tried many other programs and diets to try and take control of my health, but nothing seemed to stick. After thoroughly researching programs and trainers, I decided to chose Ultimate Performance.Eddie has been beyond amazing and lived up to every promise he made on Day 1. I was reluctant to tell him my ‘dream’ body and take the initial photos, but I’m SO glad I did because my transformation has been more than I ever imagined possible. He planned everything and taught me how to fuel and nourish my body. All I had to do was show up and stick with the program. In 7 months, I went from 162 lbs. to 118, from 33% body fat to 15%, and my self-confidence has increased dramatically.Yes, it is expensive, but it’s worth every dollar. I can keep up with my active toddler, walk confidently wherever I go, am proud of what I’ve accomplished, and feel better now than in any other time in my life. Most importantly, in the last month, I’ve heard from a dozen friends that I’ve inspired them to take control of their health - I never thought I would improve my life so much and inspire others to do the same. All of this is because of Ultimate Performance and Eddie’s coaching and encouragement!

Comment: After 12 weeks, I am grateful to my trainer Chris Weatherholtz and the entire team at Ultimate Performance. I walked into UP after years of bad habits and health issues that left me with weight gain, skin issues, inflammation, brain fog, sleeplessness, blood pressure issues, and even a stress fracture. I was falling apart.Ultimate Performance helped build me back up from the inside out. With every sip, step, rep, and bite, Chris helped me change my life. After 12 weeks, I am healthier, stronger, and happier. The physical and mental transformation has been astonishing. Comment: Mark Bloice and Ultimate Performance changed my life. I started with Mark on 1/29/24 and have not only lost weight, but completely transformed the way I feel and how I look at eating/working out. Mark is an incredible coach who has been there for me every step of the way (and continues to be). He knew when to push me harder and when to pull back. I started this journey when I found out I was having my third child, and I wanted to be in better shape to enjoy my time with my new son as well as be around for the long haul. After a lot of hard work and incredible coaching, I feel like I’m on a great path to doing so. I would do anything for Mark, he’s meant the world to me and made a profound difference in my life, both mentally and physically. Everyone from the trainers to anyone you come across there is friendly, kind, professional and wonderful. The trainers hold you accountable and check in on you everyday. The workouts are challenging and you feel stronger after each one. You get measured, body fat checked and pictures taken before you begin and then every 2 weeks to see your progress. Changes are always made if your body isnt performing to the Ultimate Performance. :) I love this place. Its worth the cost especially if you want to 10X your life, like I did. Super responsive and patient, and he understands my objectives. Comment: Found this place when looking for Best personal trainers in LA, and it did not disappoint. After 8 weeks of my 12 week program, I have made drastic changes to my physique and feel better/stronger than ever. My trainer (Mark Bloice) is very knowledgable and a lot of fun to work with. He consistently answers my barrage of questions and continues to push my limits each session. Everyone has a high attention to detail (form, meals, rest times, workout selection, etc.) and it is matched by the thoughtful set-up of the gym. Highly recommend for anyone looking for fast results! Just expect to be tired and hungry for a bit. The initial switch into logging all of your food and keeping your calories low (and protein high) takes some getting used to, but they have great tips and tricks to get you through it.

However, I decided to take a professional approach and opted for their transformation program.The gym itself is fantastic. From day one, Ive been continuously pushed and challenged during my workouts, but always with the guidance and support of my coach. One of the standout aspects of this program is the quantitative measurement of progress. Every two weeks, I get to see exactly how far Ive come in various areas, which is incredibly motivating. The emphasis on calorie counting and macronutrient distribution has been eye-opening. Ive learned what types of food affect my weight and, with my coachs help, how to better allocate macronutrients in my meals. It was particularly encouraging to see the level of objective progress just after the first two weeks.My coach, Candace, has been instrumental in my journey. Despite my lack of experience, she has been incredibly supportive and attentive. Her patience and encouragement have made me feel comfortable and confident in the gym. She definitely gives me the push that I needed and motivates me more when I want to give up. Comment: I worked out at UP in the UK 9 years ago and had amazing results. I’d just moved to LA recently and was looking for a gym who did something similar to UP in London. Lucky for me they’re here. And very lucky for me, they’ve gotten even bette than they were before. My trainer, Gabe, and the entire UP team are thoughtful, conscientious, and really really good at their jobs. If you come to UP they’ll build you a great plan, they’ll work with you on nutrition and your exercises (they pay attention to every single rep!), and they’ll listen to what it is you want to achieve. But you have to do the work. And they’re very good at helping you do not only the work, but more than you thought you could do. I was fortunate 9 years ago with the trainers I had at UP in London, and I couldn’t be happier with Gabe and the team here again. I just finished 6 weeks far ahead of what I’d hoped, and after a long vacation I’m coming back for another 12. I know I’m in good hands here at UP.

You’ll thank me later.I moved to LA from Chicago in the beginning of 2024 and was looking to make a drastic lifestyle change and invest in myself. UP was recommended to me by roommate (who achieved insane results) and wanted to look like him. Before I go any further, I have to give a big shout out to my trainer Gabe. He was THE reason I was able to make the transformation I so desperately wanted for years. He’s super passionate and knowledgeable about fitness and taught me many lifelong tips about nutrition, sleep, and training. He always brought the juice to our workouts, even when I wasn’t feeling it that day (especially the Pendulum Squat). I’m very thankful for him pushing me beyond my limits. Along my transformation, he was in constant communication with me (especially when I was out of town on bachelor parties) and was always quick to respond when I had questions about nutrition or training. He was very supportive/encouraging throughout my time at UP and very thankful I was paired with him. There’s no one else I’d rather have in my corner!UP LA was an amazing experience and has made a huge impact on my life in general. In just 3.5 – 4 months, I lost over 20 pounds and dropped my BF% from 23.4% to 10.9%. What it has taught me, how much stronger, more confident and proud it has made me, and the people I have met and the special relationship I built with my absolute world class trainer, Felix!I knew from research, reviews, and their track record, UP was next level when it comes to training and PT caliber but I didn’t expect THIS and certainly never thought I could look anything close to the people on their results wall. That wall is powerful and impressive but intimidating at the same time.I still remember today, the exact moment, when I was sitting in the consultation room the first time and tried to look for a picture to select as my hoped outcome but they all looked so fit that I was scared to pick one as I thought I could never get there.Now that my main transformation with strict diet and high level of exercise is completed I can say, in the most humbling way, that I look as good or even better than most of the women on that wall I was scared of and secretly aspired to be.I lost 40lbs and I am as lean as I can be while still looking feminine, healthy and SO strong!My body has never looked more beautiful than today after two pregnancies and that alone is a testament to Felix and UP.I could have NEVER achieved this without Felix. My trainer has been phenomenal from day one. He has been there for me on my highs and lows. Pulled me up when I needed to get back on track and focused and supported me when life simply happened and I needed guidance and advice on how to stay on track with my diet.The daily communications and check-ins also continued when I was traveling out of town or internationally. There was no stopping of supporting getting me to the results we set for myself no matter how far I was from the UP gym or what time zone I was in. When I trained by myself during travels, Felix reviewed my videos of how I executed my exercises, in real time, so I could adjust and perform to the highest levels even without him right next to me. He was there, to review restaurant menu options, when I ate out during travels so I would pick the best options and not mess up my diet.I was absolutely astonished by the commitment from my trainer and that gives you a whole other level of motivation!As I said NEXT LEVEL of PT caliber ALL THE WAY!The training sessions at the UP gym with Felix were the most intense I ever experienced but they were the best and most fun I ever experienced as well.Felix watches me from every angle. Unless my rep is perfect it is not acceptable. The standard is so high that it makes you a perfectionist every time you step foot in that gym.He taught me so much in the gym and I LOVE going to the gym by myself now to train on my own just like the big guys do lifting their weights. No intimidation anymore of scary looking machines or heavy weight because I GOT THIS!That feeling is beyond rewarding!I always dreamed of wearing cropped tops and trust me when I say my new wardrobe now consist of 99% of exactly that! Working out in just leggings and a sports bra has become my new normal…. Comment: My experience training at UP has been IN-credible! Seriously.Jimmy McFarland is the best trainer I could have asked for. He pushes me to (and beyond) my limits, checks in on me regularly (especially when I have a social function or am out of town on a trip), and is constantly encouraging me. When I first began my program, I never imagined Id be able to achieve what I have and I truly feel like a changed person, from the inside out. What I have gained from training here really cannot be quantified. I can do 4 pull-ups with ease (before I started UP I couldnt even do one and I had honestly convinced myself Id never be able to); I have muscle definition that I have never had; the way I look at nutrition and exercise (especially strength training) is totally different; I sleep better; I have more energy; I have way more confidence; and most importantly, I am the happiest I have ever been. There is nothing quite like pushing yourself, working your butt off, and achieving things you never thought possible - there is no better feeling than that, and the effect UP has had on my life in general is something I will never ever forget. And I owe so much of that to Jimmy. He really is the perfect trainer for me and I can honestly say signing up for this is one of the best decisions (and investments in myself) that I have ever made.

My experience has really been made by the dedication, support and constant focus from my trainer, Kurt Heeren (absolute beast). The wholistic approach taken by UP coupled with the fully personalized / tailored experience curated by Kurt has changed my life. I, like many other UPers, have a crazy schedule, tons of travel and a lot going on outside the gym. I struggled with maintaining a routine both in the gym but also with my nutrition. Kurt and team have given me the tools and maybe more importantly, the mindsight to handle the challenges of daily life without sacrificing gains and progress towards our goals. Not only have a lost a bunch of weight, I have gotten exponentially stronger, more confident and have exponentially more energy. Dont wait!

Comment: Im a mature woman who has been a gym rat or in a dance studio my entire adult life. I have experience with personal trainers at several LA area well-known gyms. So I can say from all my experience, that UP Brentwood has proven to be the best personal training and head-to-toe program I have ever seen.Ive been training with Killian Yang for just over 5 months and Im very pleased with my results so far. Ive dropped 23 pounds and 2 sizes while firming my whole body. Results are reached because of UPs head-to-toe approach with nutrition, motivation, accountability, oversight and yes, teaching excellent techniques in the gym. Killian keeps close tabs on my eating, sleeping and training with encouragement and not with guilt. If I go awry, he is quick to say thats ok, no problem which helps me eagerly get back on track.From my work-out sessions at UP, I have learned techniques which have improved my approach to gym-training. Killian is so detail-oriented and he communicates perfectly about body position and equipment use which results in effective and safe work-outs.As mature women, we know that weight loss, firming and toning is more difficult as we age but the UP program makes it very doable. The nutrition plan is not a diet and the training is not about over-the-top cardio. Rather it is a combination of good healthy eating and effective exercise.I just want to add that other trainers in the Brentwood UP gym are also friendly and very supportive. The gym-equipment is a superior quality and kept exceptionally clean, as are the locker rooms, showers and ammenities. I love going there !As others have commented, I cant recommend UP enough. Comment: I have been training with Eddie Escobar at at Ultimate Performance for about 8 months. Eddie’s discipline and support is second to none. He is both no nonsense and encouraging. Eddie has a gift of extreme thoughtfulness and patience to push me to and past my limits, even and especially on the days I show up on the struggle bus.I have worked with several trainers at other well-known gyms, and I can whole-heartedly say, Eddie and UP belong in a whole other category. The combination of the workout regimen with nutrition, sleep, and continuous tracking of it all, it’s far more than just personal training. I am the strongest I’ve ever been and he got me in 3 months what it took several years with other trainers.Eddie has also helped me work toward finding balance in my nutrition, in sleep, and leaning into other aspects of self-care. At the end of the day, you have to do the work, and if you do, the results are real. Eddie is a magnificent guide at keeping you accountable and helping you to get the job done.One final aspect of UP I’d be remiss not to note is that there’s a built in mini community at the gym. Comment: Updated 2/8: I’m now on my third transformation since 2019 with Ultimate Performance LA. And my conviction that this is the best gym and set of trainers I’ve come across has only been further confirmed.I’ve had three different trainers over the years that have all brought something different to my training. Currently, I’m working with Eddie Escobar at the Brentwood location. We hit my target BF % in 7 weeks (12%, down from 21.2%), getting as low as 10% in the weeks that followed. I’ve now shifted my goals to try and build more strength/muscle. I’ve never felt or looked better with my 40th birthday just around the corner. When I hit some weight loss plateaus and had issues with stress and sleep, Eddie provided the right guidance, strategy, knowledge and assurances to work through them. Everyone should hope to have a trainer like Eddie.I can’t say enough about what Nick Mitchell has built. The UP trainers are knowledgeable, encouraging and supportive while holding you accountable. They give you the tools, but make no mistake, YOU have to do the work. You won’t see anyone on the gym floor with a cell phone, just clients and trainers putting in the work. As someone extremely frustrated by most commercial gyms, Ultimate Performance exceeds all expectations. It is well worth the cost. The proof is in the pudding, and the transformations you see online are real (I’ve now done it three times!). I can’t possibly recommend UP enough.

My trainer, Eddie Escobar is the most amazing trainer I have had in my life. He is so caring, nice, calm, motivational, inspirational, & goal driven. He has helped me lose about 45 pounds & still continues to transform me. He definitely gets all the credit! To be honest, to me, from watching all the trainers train their clients, he’s the best one. He is always on top of his game and knows exactly what to do to help you understand the exercise correctly. I am proud to be trained by him 3 times a week, every week.The gym itself is very nice, clean, and you get the feeling of safety when you’re there with your personal trainer. I’ve been to a couple of high end gyms, and had personal trainers there, but they did not transform me as fast and as easily as Ultimate Performance. I am a proud member of this gym. I wouldn’t recommend another.I started off at this gym at 220 pounds and the lowest I’ve been has been 173 pounds. I mean, incredible right? In only 8 months! To be honest, before I started I had a gastric sleeve surgery 5 months prior to my starting date at ultimate performance. After the first 4 months of surgery, I was down 40 pounds. I was at 250 pounds prior to surgery and I went down to 210 pounds. But on the 5th month post surgery, I gained 10 pounds back and was feeling hopeless and miserable. I realized it’s time to put in some hard work, so I joined Ultimate Performance in the hopes of becoming 5% body fat. Well after almost 9 months I went from 30% body fat to 17.5% body fat. I will continue going to this gym until I am 5% body fat and after that I will most likely stay at this gym to grow bigger muscles.I also want to thank the founder of Ultimate Performance, Nick Mitchell, for starting this amazing gym full of the most educated personal trainers. The gym truly does stand up to the words “Worlds leading Personal Trainers”. They can seem too good to be true, but my trainer Julian Leano and I achieved the results as advertised. I went from 176 to 158lbs in 12 weeks and achieved the six pack I never had in my 37 years of existence. I signed up for another year and hope to add ten pounds of muscle while maintaining a lean aesthetic physique. If you’re hoping to transform your appearance, confidence, discipline, and lifestyle, this is the place to do it!PS- Julian is great at accommodating injury and limited range of motion into the training plan. If you have the means, I highly recommend joining their program.Here’s the long version, for those that want to know WHY:I’d been in pretty good shape my whole life, but over the last few years I’d worked out only once or twice. I wasn’t myself, and I needed help to get out of my rut. Some friends referred me to UP and had glowing things to say about it, so I reached out and took the leap. I had never worked with a personal trainer, so it was a very new experience. However, I’d also never felt this physically weak, so everything was new. The first day was tough – facing photos of how I looked, not being able to lift very much, only getting in a few reps before shaking, and doing it in an unfamiliar place with people I didn’t know. While I struggled for a bit with feeling “less than” I wanted to be, other things made each day a better day – I built a great relationship with Gerard (my trainer), and began to enjoy coming back to see the dedicated, fun, and kind people that work and train there. Pretty quickly, the work was paying off and I can’t remember the person I was just 3 months ago. At one point, I got sick and had to miss a week of training. When I got back to the gym, I was overwhelmed by how much I had missed it. I never expected to feel that way, but then I stopped to think and it all made sense. Gerard does an amazing job of tailoring everything to what’s best for me. Every client must be so different, so I recognize and appreciate the skill it takes to get the most out of each of us. While I give myself lots of credit for putting in the work, I know I couldn’t do it alone or get this far this fast without Gerard and UP. I’m very grateful.

Comment: Best decision ever! Highly recommend training with KURT at UP!! Before Kurt I was working out doing hit classes about 5 days/week but I wasnt seeing any real changes in my body. I was lean but didnt have any real muscle definition. Kurt changed all of that. He taught me the nuances of clean eating and the importance of engaging the right muscles when lifting. I have worked out for over 30 years, either independently or through crossfit or other programs and had historically been able to keep in my desired fitness/weight range. In my early fifties the weight started to pack on and I realized that I was no longer able to reach my goals independently. In the three months that I have worked with Ben I dropped nearly 30 lbs,; am already 10 lbs below my original goal weight. As intimidating as personal training can feel, it was a really positive experience that not only changed my body but also how I approach nutrition. Not to sound like spon-con but the results are genuinely undeniable; I signed up because several friends had, without warning, become totally shredded over the summer and it turns out this was why. Obviously I too needed to become totally shredded. The program is straightforward and efficient, and oriented towards training in a way that really facilitates you continuing the work on your own outside of the gym. I thought I was only going to sign up for 6 weeks, and here I am three months later - it truly becomes an engaging and habitual thing. The trainers across the board are friendly and inviting, and I am biased given he’s who I work with but can’t recommend Ben McKnight as a trainer enough! His sessions are clear cut and challenging, and always evolving in a way that keeps you invested. Best of all, with KeAndre’s know-how and dedicated support, I did it without running(!) and endless cardio. He held me accountable to following my diet (which was delicious), keeping up with my daily steps, and making workout achievable-yet-challenging and also fun for someone who does not like to work out. I just love when he pushes me every time I work out with him and gives the best advice when I do struggle with certain issues. Even though Ive only been with ultimate performance for 18 weeks so far, Ive dropped 42 pounds and 19% body fat and I’m very happy with my results. Before I started training, I’ve made so many changes with my diet that I can actually stick too even though what I changed may be difficult for many people, it’s easy for me and I love it. In terms of personal training it is the absolute peak - the best I have ever used or seen. What sets it apart from other gyms or PT, is the completeness of the programme and attention to detail. I could never hold myself accountable or push myself to the lengths that I do with the guidance of Gerard (more on him shortly -- spoiler: he is incredible!). Ultimate Performance takes you every step of the way, from strength training, to meal planning, to check-ins, to an app with updates on your progress and connection to your trainer.I think what I like most about this program, is that it is easier than if I did it myself. Dont get me wrong, you will work harder than you thought possible -- but the program takes the guesswork out of the whole process. I have a pretty busy schedule and I feel like its one thing off my plate to think about. I follow what Gerard tells me (from workout to diet), and I lose weight. boom. I dont have to think about counting reps, or trying to figure out what my body is responding to, or even figuring out a workout plan -- all of it is done for you. They give you the action and you do it. It IS pricy, but 100% worth it.Now onto Gerard:I am so lucky to have been paired up with him. He is so wonderfully knowledgeable, nice, and motivating. He can joke around and make you feel at ease, which is important to me because this whole process is incredibly humbling. The magic is in their system, expertise, controls, and data. Its analogous to going to the Mayo Clinic for a major medical issue except this is for body transformation and general health. You see it in the exercise program expertise, guidance on and tracking of diet, and system controls theyve developed for their trainers. Yes its a very successful system. It is also individualized for you the specific client.Accountability: Another answer to why would you spend this amount for fitness? You are reminded and encouraged. You look at the data/evidence in personal photos and graphs - frequently. Ultimately you have to do the work physically and in your diet. They have an accountability framework that shows quick success. This breeds more success. Yet there is flexibility if scheduling around diets and workouts needs to be changed temporarily for external reasons.Injury Prevention: Another answer to why you want to work with this high level of expertise. Nearly 1 year with no soft tissue injuries of significance that prevented working out. In the past this has interrupted workout routines significantly for me. Bravo!Results you wont achieve on your own. Tony Spear in Brentwood has been excellent. And with a passion for data and muscle mechanics. The other trainers I observe are also excellent. Tony worked with an early 60s body lacking a genetic predisposition to build lots of muscle. Results: According to an InBody impedance test before the start and after nearly 1 year: Body fat % declined from 29.3 to 12.7. My trainer Irina has been great - she’s accessible for questions when I need her and helps me set realistic goals while keeping me accountable. I’ve had great results and am very happy with my experience, but this isn’t for everyone. You need to be willing to invest the time and energy in sticking to the plan your trainer sets for you, otherwise you’re not going to see results and will waste your money. It’s definitely pricey but for me that was a motivator to make sure I was doing everything Irina prescribed. A lot of the results are due to diet as well so be prepared to make some notable changes and to count calories/macros. I would recommend this for anyone serious about getting in shape and who wants to lean how to weight train with the right form - their hours are flexible and I was able to fit this in despite having a busy work schedule. I had broken my leg, my injury had healed with a malrotation, and I was unsure whether I could ever run or jump again without undergoing a painful surgery. Additionally, I had put on a lot of weight. Comment: Gerard has been my trainer at UP for several months now and the progress I have seen has been incredible. I’ve had several personal trainers in the past and none have ever measured up to Gerard — he is super attentive, knowledgeable and friendly, and definitely knows how to push my limits! The gym itself has state of the art equipment and is a really comfortable environment to work out in. Everyone is really relaxed and compared to other gyms, I have never felt anxious about going or being judged. The plan UP puts you through is definitely tough — you need to commit to 10K steps a day, follow a nutrition plan, and commit to going at least 3 times/week to the gym, but it absolutely works if you’re willing to push yourself. Even though I was having difficulty finding motivation at times, Gerard was always there to help me and keep me committed to achieving my goal. Thanks so much UP and Gerard!

Comment: I came to Ultimate Performance after experiencing a delay in my exercise routines due to COVID and a personal family loss. I was the most out of shape I had ever been and my recent lob results confirmed I needed to prioritize my health first. I found UP through some online research and loved it was walking distance from my home.I have been working with Kurt wince August 2022 and have never felt healthier! I have lost 14 pounds and am very close to being the lightest I have ever been (since college). I knew I would not make the transformation quickly but Kurt assured me that slow and steady was the way to go. I also love the accountability that comes with the app, tracking my food and activity has been a huge part of my success. I came to Ultimate Performance with the goal to get back into better shape than ever before. Ive had trainers before, but wanted to make sure that I was accountable for my training and healthy habits moving forward.I travel a lot so I needed something that I can do on the road as well as when at home, but most of all track my progress.Ultimate Performances program was the right choice.. I have been working with Kurt, my trainer for about 4 months and have lost over 25lbs and over 10% body fat, but gained muscle back.This is even through the Thanksgiving, Christmas and NYE parties!I and am the lightest and strongest than I have been since my college athletic days!The program has many aspects that make it easy to follow and also accountable as your trainer is monitoring it daily, and they will text you if you are falling a bit behind. They provide proper training and technique, so you can take what you have learned and continue outside the program.You and your trainer are in constant communication with the UP App. This is where you log and track your meals that are then tracked along with your nutrition program. As well as tracking your daily required steps and hydration.Its a great way to keep you accountable, but most of all makes you learn what proper eating habits and meals are, and the consequences when you have a few too many drinks or pizza slices one night. I have learned more about how my body reacts to traveling, eating, drinking and fatigue.The results I have seen so far are worth the work and costs, as I am the strongest I have been in a long time and feel so good. Even though the struggle and work are real, its worth the results.If you want to change your health, get into shape and need to be accountable, this is the place that will push you to your goals and keep them moving forward.

I was coming to get in good shape for a multitude of reasons, but the main one being a better long term grasp on discipline and less “see-sawing” into my mid-30’s. Comment: As an athlete in a past life, I have very high expectations for anyone that I was going to pay to train me. At a minimum, in addition to weights, I expect a plan to include nutrition, hydration, aerobic exercises, sleep and flexibility. And I expect that plan to be tailored to my goals and capabilities while taking safety seriously. All of that is just the basics. They met all of that as their default, so yeah, I recommend them highly.-Tailored to you over cookie cutter routines.-Accountability over nagging.-Exercise adjustments and fine tuning over a paid rep counter.-Sincere motivation over fake rah rah.-Modern biomechanical knowledge over antiquated unproven notions.Though I have only worked with one trainer (Eddie E) that, by the way, they choose for you based on their attempt at finding a good match for your style and goals, all of the trainers that I see working with other customers are just as professional, respectful, polite, knowledgeable and focused as the one I have.So again, I highly recommend them. BTW, I’ve lost 50lbs and dropped from 33% to 14% body fat since joining in May 2022.

Comment: I signed up at UP in early November and they got me started from the waiting list right after Thanksgiving (perfect timing). I was incredibly hyped to start this program and begin my transformation. After 3 months into the program just about to finish my last session (although I may extend after my vacation) I have lost about 30 lbs. Im in my early 40s and after covid just couldnt get out of a rut. The changes were dramatic and took lots of work, and dedication. Im truly grateful for my trainer Alicia Reyes and the UP Team for everything they put in their process to benefit others. I actually drove from Orange County 3 times a week (yall need an OC location btw) and the effort was well worth it. Alicia was always supportive, patient and positive. She consistently checked up on me on the UP app at all times and was consistent about my form.Here are some notable mentionsDropped from an almost tight XXL to a loose and comfortable XL.Pretty much need to replace every item in my wardrobe.My blood pressure dropped from being unmanageable with medication to me needing to reduce my medication.I look and feel better and Im looking forward to continuing my journey.Tips if you are going to sign up- Sign up for the Meal prep service they recommend before the training begins. They recommended me Macro plate which I started halfway through the program and it made a world of a difference. Although after my vacay I may try their paleo plan instead of the low carb plan.- The app is awesome. USE IT RELIGIOUSLY. Follow their IG page and also Nick Mitchells page. It was very supportive.- invest in some good flat shoes. I think this deserves to be a great article from UP and could have some ad revenue / affiliate link potential. Comment: I first found UP appealing because it had the structure I felt I needed to really accomplish my goals and really was driven by a mission of putting its clients first. I am now at my 2-month mark since joining UP, and I am well on my way towards my goals. I think one of the many big factors that sets UP apart is the accountability portion of the program and the regular support and check-ins you receive from your trainer. The program not only pushes you towards achieving your physical body goals, but also focuses on making healthy food choices, monitoring your water intake and getting daily movement in any way you can among other things. I think the latter part is so important to the sustainability afterwards; it really becomes a change in lifestyle. Ive been working with my trainer Alicia who I couldnt recommend enough! She pushes me to complete the work-out and go up in weight, while cheering me on when I complete a hard circuit. Comment: I just finished 27 weeks with UP and cant speak highly enough about the program and the trainers. My personal trainer, KeAndre took the time to ask questions, listen to my goals, concerns and answer my questions before we started. I had never joined any gym or done any weight lifting before and KeAndre was patient while I learned proper techniques and methods. While you train, the trainers arent looking at their phones and they give you their undivided attention. The work doesnt stop in the gym either. You monitor your food and activity outside and that is a huge key in succeeding in this program. I felt the communication was probably the biggest driver to succeeding with UP. KeAndre asked all the right questions, and when I asked him questions he wasnt sure about, hed do his research and get back to me the same day whether about diet, possible injuries or exercises to do outside of our sessions. All the trainers are friendly and say hello and make you feel like you are welcome. This isnt a place to go to see and be seen. This really is a results driven program where the trainers guide you to achieving your goals.

Comment: Becoming a client at Ultimate Performance has been one of the most positive and life-altering decisions that I have ever made.For years I have struggled with my weight due to an inability and fear to be active due to genetic physical limitations. I have always given up on trainers because I either didnt trust that they were understanding of those limitations and the pain I tolerate on a day-to-day basis, or were unwilling to work with me to find exercises that not only I could do, but helped strengthen the rest of my body in a way that would eventually alleviate some of that pain. Most training programs that I found didnt have the day-to-day support that I received at U.P. in terms of the nutrition and other necessary work required outside of the gym which was an area I have struggled with to personally motivate myself as well. Additionally, U.P. made it incredibly easy to find the time for myself in fast-paced and work-oriented lifestyle that is hard to find with most other gyms and/or programs.I have had the privilege of working with Kurt at the Brentwood location and I will never cease to sing his praises. His patience and understanding of my unique situation kept me motivated and determined and I never once felt alone on my journey. Comment: I started training at UP for a lot of reasons, but primarily because I was pretty depressed -- something Ive battled in one way or another for much of my life. The idea of looking better than I ever have was a nice bonus, sure, but I know how closely tied physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing truly are, and I hit a point where I wanted to be at my peak in all three.Prior, I was waking up late every day, beyond tired and after multiple alarms. I never had an appetite. My diet was basically a morning coffee for the caffeine shock, and then sometimes an entire pizza after a long, unintentional fast. I worked from my couch and my output suffered. My attitude and dating life suffered.It took a while to convince myself that I could do something differently, but when I committed to myself, I knew that if I was going to really give my all and spend this kind of cash, I wasnt willing to settle for anything less than the best training I could find.I did immense amounts of research, and I can confidently say there is not a more scientific, data-driven program that exists. Everything (sleep, steps, meals, water intake, weight, reps, routine, etc) is tracked to be able to analyze and adjust, and to instill accountability and discipline. I take progress pics every week (which are blowing my mind at this point), and do 19-point body fat caliper measurements to see exactly how my body is changing. (Look at the transformations. Theyre real.)Ive gone from 21.8% to 7.9% body fat in three months, now putting on muscle and maintaining that percentage. Im lean, and Im proud. Im hungry at a healthy cadence, I eat cleanly and love it, nutritional tracking has become second nature, and Ive learned proper form/routine across a wide variety of exercises that take care of my entire body. Im disciplined, and I know that all of these skills and knowledge will be with me for the rest of my life.There are marked differences around my mental/emotional well-being, too: My energy levels are significantly higher. For at least the last two months, Ive woken up without an alarm without fail, generally eager to eat and get started on my day. My job -- which is very stressful at times and demands great mental rigor -- has become more manageable. And while I still do get hit with sadness spells here and there, theyre less arbitrary, and Im far better equipped to power through them.I should talk about UPs staff, as well. Every single trainer is unbelievably skilled (Ive trained with several when mine had to take a little time due to a personal emergency) -- and theyre all clearly passionate about what they do. I have to give a special shoutout, though, to Abigail Jachera, whom Ive been fortunate to train with directly. Im convinced shes exactly the right coach for me, given my (and her) demeanor, constraints, and goals. Im very grateful for the thoughtfulness that was put into matching us.This is a woman who was a professional ballerina, with a background in biology and endocrinology, and with voluminous knowledge of physical fitness. Her energy is infectious, she knows just how hard to push and motivate me (without turning me off), and shes deeply informed. Ive never had a question about my program she was unable to answer (or find an answer to), and I know I can trust her entirely in her guidance. Shes appropriately mindful of some weird physical quirks I have, and she knows exactly how and why each movement is impacting specific areas of my body. Shes reliable, considerate, and responsive. She puts in the time and effort to the same extent that I do. I can tell that she deeply cares about me and my results.Abi is also authentic to herself as a human, and at this point, I consider her a friend. Im optimistic this is a relationship Ill carry with me well beyond my time at UP.I never write reviews, but Im doing it this time because UP has improved my life at the most foundational levels, and Im hopeful I can maybe pay that forward.

Comment: I’ve been training here since June of this year, and the results I’ve seen so far have been astounding. Overall I’m feeling and moving a lot better, and this is the best physically that I’ve felt in years. It’s just an amazing environment to be in to train. I come here 3 days a week, and no matter how stressful a day is going in, I always feel a lot better after finishing a session. They really make a great positive environment for everyone, and you can tell everyone is really enjoying their sessions and the progress they’re making.One of the best parts too is just how convenient they make everything. The app they use makes it fairly easy to track everything you need to do, to the point that it’s just become second nature everyday. All I have to do is just cook my meals according to the meal plan created for me, track what I eat/drink, and just make sure to get enough activity everyday. It’s about as straightforward as you can get, and a lot easier to achieve than if I was trying this on my own.I’ve been working with Gerard, who’s been great to train with. He always making adjustments to the diet or training program to make sure I’m constantly moving in the right direction, and I’ve made a ridiculous amount of progress so far. He’s done a great job too of constantly tweaking the exercises to make sure they fit me, since I came here to recover from a car accident and had to be careful with my back initially. He does a great job too of highlighting just how much progress has been made since I started here, and it’s just been an amazing time with a ton of positive reinforcement. I’ve noticed a ton of great positive physical and overall health changes since I started here.I have lupus, which is an autoimmune disease that can be fairly serious if not managed and controlled. I used to get flareups about 3-4 times a week, and they would be so serious that they’d knock me out of commission for the rest of the day. The training and diet routine Gerard put me on here have been perfect for my lupus, which is managed by low inflammation and reducing stress. About 2 months after starting here, I noticed that I hadn’t had a flareup all summer, and the 1-2 I’ve had since then were incredibly minor, and managed a lot more easily. I had my 6 month follow up with my specialist, who told me that my results are so remarkable he wants to take me off my medication because I’m in remission. The only change I’ve made since my last check in was starting the program here, and it’s had a tremendously positive effect on my health. Signing up here has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and it’s created amazing, long lasting, positive impacts for my health

Comment: Starting in my mid-40s, I started noticing changes in my body. A lot had to do with perimenopause and my sluggish metabolism. I had severe swelling in my lower body and joint pain. I knew I needed to make a drastic change to do something about my health.Over the last 9 months, my trainer, Chris Weatherholtz, has really helped me with my transformation. Since starting the program, Ive lost 20 pounds and 7.5% body fat. I lowered my cholesterol from 238 to 183. My LDL went from 160 to 116. But more than that, he helped me change my daily habits around eating, sleeping, being active and being disciplined. Before I joined UP, I was averaging about 4000 steps daily. Now, I average about 12000 steps/day. Since Ive followed their nutritional coaching plan, Ive been eating very clean. My skin has cleared up, I sleep better, Im in a better mood and I dont retain as much water. I can now tuck in shirts into my pants. My whole life Ive had an apple shaped body with a bigger midsection. It is the first time that I show off my waist. Losing the stubborn baby weight has really boosted my confidence. Ive also gotten stronger because I eat more protein and do weight training. The UP program is great for busy working professionals or parents who dont have a lot of time but want results. If you put in the work and show up, you will see results. The biggest compliment I get from people these days is how they never associated me to be an active person. But now, they say Ive become so neurotic about getting my steps and staying active. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Because I had so many injuries coming into the program, my trainer, Chris, couldnt really push me hard. Chris was always very patient with me and because he was so knowledgeable, he was able to push me safely. He watched my every move like a hawk to make sure I didnt get injured. I was paired with the best trainer I’ve worked with, Robert Guerra, who helped me achieve all of my goals faster than I thought possible. I hit my weight, percent body fat, and body appearance goals in half the time I expected. Thanks to a very effective meal plan that he developed with me and I found to be very easy to stick to, a really intuitive app to track my habits and progress, and most importantly several intense workouts a week that I always looked forward to and felt fantastic after. Robert‘s workouts pushed me to do things I didn’t think I could do and made me much stronger. He has a really lovely way of coaching and encouraging that I appreciate very much and helped me feel completely supported on this journey. From Day 1, the program and my trainer Giulio have far exceeded my expectations. I have already accomplished more than I ever thought possible, and we’re only halfway done! The program clearly lays out every step for success: proper technique and nutrition information of course, but also motivation, encouragement, and accountability. Ive had multiple trainers throughout out my life including post baby and through the pandemic and Ive never been fully satisfied. They were always alright or pretty good. UP is on another level! The program and trainers are dramatically different and I credit the program and most specifically my trainer, Roxy, 100% for the transformation Ive undergone. Im 52 and in four months, Ive lost over 20 pounds and almost 9 inches of my waist. Thats huge for someone of my stature. More importantly, Ive gotten stronger, fitter and my entire perspective on how to eat has changed. I completely credit the process of UP and my trainer for these changes I never thought could happen.When I spend my hour with Roxy, she is absolutely vigilant about my form and my technique. Roxy is the only trainer Ive had who is constantly watching my every workout and always adjusting me and giving me advice as I do my reps. She has never looked away, checked her phone or chatted with others while she is training me. She adjusts my workouts, my macros, and my steps and exercise outside to work with where I am in life and to get me to that next level. I’ve never struggled with my weight, but I wanted a more structured way to “reclaim” my body, and someone to really hold me accountable, especially during a pandemic when it’s all too easy to put on some pounds with so much time spent at home. After almost five months training with Chris twice a week, I can safely say I’ve never looked the way I do, I’ve never been or felt as lean as I am now, and it’s given me a confidence I honestly didn’t expect. Yes, you’ll learn how to eat better and you’ll learn exactly what foods cause you to retain water and feel bloated so you learn to stay away from them…but for me, personally, the biggest lesson has been how to weight train. I have been blown away with how meticulous Chris (and I know all the trainers are) is when guiding me through lifting weights…my form, taking note of how much weight and how many reps and how strenuous it was for me, to either push me harder or make an adjustment. As someone with a history of back problems, it’s been incredible to continue to lift more and more weight –getting strong and stronger—without really ever feeling sore the next day…and that’s truly a testament to being guided by an expert. UP recommended specific macro targets customized for my body and fitness goals. Most importantly, the UP system facilitated my fidelity to the nutrition plan through intense accountability. I sent Kevin a picture of everything I ate during the program, updated a spreadsheet tracking my weight and macro intake every day, and started and shared a MyFitnessPall account with him. I could not have radically changed my diet without this social pressure, of sorts. This new awareness and strategy surrounding diet is a tool I think I will carry with me for life.The third point I want to drive home is that UP’s approach, and especially their 12-week transformations, may be most effective for those looking to lose weight rather than gain muscle mass. Although I’ve worked with trainers in the past, none have come close to the level at which Kevin operates. It became quickly apparent to me how invested the trainers are in our success, and Kevin was great at listening to my needs throughout the program. I was paired with a very funny and fantastic trainer, Evan Eames, and I have to say that I learned so much from Evan and I truly transformed my body during the 12 weeks I worked with him. Evan taught me everything from nutrition to working out properly, and would constantly check on my diet and sleep to make sure I was making progress. The workouts are intense, but you definitely leave feeling accomplished after each session because you see how much you’re able to push yourself. Evan, along with all the trainers, truly care about you and your journey. Everyone at UP is very friendly and super nice. I know a lot of people feel intimidated by gyms and are afraid of feeling judged, but I can honestly assure you that this place will provide you with all the support you need. Ive tried everything to lose weight from personal trainers, meal delivery, Yoga 5x / week, running, $400 cleanses, shakes, etc....and UP is the only thing that -- as they say -- delivered impressive results. More over, my trainer Cristian was so awesome, extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and kept me on track...and I managed to achieve great results during the Thanksgiving / Holiday Party time period (from early Nov. thru mid Dec.) and it didnt feel like torture. Comment: I have tried a variety of exercise programs and a variety of trainers over the last several years.The issues were either no real change, or temporary change at best.My trainer at UP, Adam Davis, is honestly the best trainer I have ever worked with. His methods and professionalism translate into confidence that I am doing the exercises correctly and without jeopardizing an injury.You will be encouraged and guided to do more than you thought possible. It is a commitment on your part with both food and training but, the results are incredible. I have lost nearly 15 lbs in about 6 weeks. Body fat is down and cardiovascular has improved. Comment: My experience at UP LA has been great. I came in with the mindset that if I follow what I’m told I will get results. It’s hard not to think that when you see all of the success stories on the wall. I started seeing noticeable results after two weeks and have been off to the races ever since. I’ve been submerged in the program now for 7 weeks, and I’ve lost 20 lbs so far. I started at 190 lbs, and right now I’m at 170 lbs. I realistically can lose another 15-20 lbs by the time this program is over if I stay disciplined to my program. Since starting with UP, I’ve really concentrated on my fitness and overall health and it shows. Besides the complements of I look much healthier and my skin is glowing (I get those the most) I feel that I have much more energy throughout the day and wake up refreshed every morning. For me UP has really helped me fine tune my diet. It’s important to follow these professional trainers’ advice on both diet and exercise. It was pretty simple; I told my trainer Cristian what I was looking to accomplish, and he put together a game plan for me. He took all the guess work out for me. I just follow what he tells me to do, and I get the results. It’s a great deal for me! Cristian is also very supportive outside of the gym and is always texting me encouragement which I find very beneficial to keep me focused on my goals. Comment: I’ve had an awesome experience at UP and have loved working with Louis Zito. Its been the best investment in my health and fitness I’ve made. The program takes a methodical approach – they track your diet and weight daily, along with body fat percentage other body measurements every few weeks. They record your strength on each exercise and coach you through every rep. I saw real progress in strength, muscle growth and body fat % right off the bat and it becomes very motivating. The gym is state of the art, they have all the best equipment, and nice locker rooms. It’s a great environment with great people.Louis made the experience educational and enjoyable. Over the course of 12 weeks we spent a lot of time together, so it was great to have someone who’s both fun to be around and very smart with a ton of education and experience in fitness/nutrition. I also came in with a shoulder injury from years ago that never improved despite months of physical therapy and prevented me from bench pressing or doing push ups. Louis carefully designed the workouts and we’ve gotten back to full use and strength in my shoulder. That alone felt miraculous and worth the cost. Louis is super professional - always on time, focused, and prepared for our workouts. He’s efficient in the gym, and outside the gym he’s always responsive when I text him with diet and fitness questions.This is a life changing program. I’ve loved the results. I took the leap.Over the next 12 weeks of working 3 hours a week with my fantastic trainer, Sean Towns, I found myself genuinely shocked by how I was evolving both physically and mentally. So much so that I tacked on another 6 weeks to put on a bit more muscle and focus on more advanced techniques.Sean checked on me frequently outside of our sessions, keeping me accountable for everything from my macros and activity level to my sleep and stress levels. This highlights one of the perks of this place in that it feels like one big family. Other trainers in the gym know you by name and will often interject with tips and support. Actually I have trained with UP in Hong Kong for half a year before, so I am quite understand and confident the training model and methodologies of UP. But I have to say Cristian is the most diligent and responsible trainer I met so far, and the result in such short three weeks surprised me as well.Cristian helped me to focus on my training, push me hard, plan on my diet, and most importantly, motive me to keep on track. He notes down every detailed figure when I was on exercise so I could have the most accurate guidance for next better reps. Comment: I am 5 weeks in my body transformation and so far my experience is excellent. Before I came I had a training schedule that was unsustainable from my time commitment and plateaued. My physique was kind of okay. Now I am much more leaner, lighter but look better. My trainer Christian is awesome. He is very knowledgeable and always available (via text) when I have a question. He also gave me a died which is effective and which helped me to understand what I did wrong and what my macros and cal intake should be. He is excited when I progress and motivates me when I am not having a great day. And there is another thing which I have not seen before with other trainers: they pay full attention to you all the time. They watch and check form and muscle activation and squeeze the last bit of strength out of you. Every day is more challenging than the other and 1h there is more intense than anything that I could do alone or with a personal trainer in a normal gym.If you are not fully committed it wont work but if you are, the results are amazing and worth every penny. Comment: I joined the UP Personal Trainers LA program about 10 weeks ago and have seen great results. In 10 weeks, Ive lost over 20 lb, my body fat % decreased by almost 10%, and Ive rapidly increased muscle mass. My trainer (Emily) is not only professional and extremely focused, shes very knowledgeable. The program as whole - aside from being results driven, effective, and (obviously) personalized - allows you to learn a lot and increase awarness, when it comes to nutrition and proper weight lifting.

Comment: Ive been training at UP with my trainer, Louis Zito, for about eight weeks. After an in depth consult discussing my history and goals, he put together a full training schedule and nutrition plan.In the gym, everything we do is clearly explained and structured so I feel safe and educated in the process. I never have to worry about doing an exercise incorrectly or inefficiently because Louis is there on each rep making sure my form is perfect.It took a couple of weeks in order to see results in the mirror, but almost immediately I felt benefits like improved energy, stamina, and mood. It made me regret not joining a gym way earlier in life.I have enjoyed my time at UP so much that I renewed my membership to stay on and continue working with Louis.The UP crew and facilities are top notch and I cant recommend them enough. Even though my trainer is Louis, all the other trainers still say hi and all of the other clients are very friendly. Its a very welcoming, non-intimidating environment. If youre afraid or anxious about going to the gym, then this is the gym for you.

Comment: UP has been one of the best decisions Ive made in my life for my health and well being. I lucked out with my trainer Geoff Sampson, who has really changed my life for the better. Hes incredibly knowledgable about nutrition and fitness and is always expanding his personal knowledge with seminars and certifications. In the time Ive been training there Ive lost over 20 lbs of fat, gained 10 lbs of Lean Body Mass and more importantly Ive stayed that way and continued to improve instead of constantly going up and down, which I used to do. When I came in last year I started to see results within a couple of weeks. Seeing those early results inspired and excited me and kept me going. Ive learned the hard truth that nutrition can determine around 80% of your visible results, and that my ability to gain and keep muscle mass is often determined not just by my efforts in the gym but the food I eat--its proper nutrition + consistent strength training together that creates the best outcomes. Everyone in my life, especially those I havent seen for a while comment on how much more fit and muscular I look, which of course feels good, but Im never satisfied and always have further to go. I would highly recommend the gym to anyone who is ready to really commit to doing the hard work thats required to make a lasting change in your physical fitness/appearance. Its hard, consistent work that makes the difference, and that is what UP demands of everyone. No shortcuts, no easy way out. Only hard work and discipline gets positive results. Youll be amazed and thrilled with the results if you listen and follow their lead.

Comment: Ive been training at UP (with Andre) for 15 weeks, and I am very happy with both the process and the results. The diet is challenging, but my trainer is always available to answer questions or make suggestions. I started seeing results very quickly, less than 2 weeks into the program. I have lost close to 2 pounds per week. Andre has been great at keeping me motivated and on track. I have learned quite a bit about the proper way to diet, and improved my form when weightlifting. Looking forward to the next phase of the program.

Comment: Awesome! The best ever! Highly recommend UP. The staff is so friendly, welcoming and I love the gym equipment. The trainer (Geoff) took the time to teach me the technique, rather than quickly get through a session and moving on to the next client. The trainer involvement is not just for the hour of training but for the entire program. I believe it is a different level of strength training mixed with knowledge of understanding the importance of nutrition and diet. They cater to your individual needs and sketch put a plan specific to your goal. The trainer is just as accountable as you are to achieve your end goal. Geoff my trainer was simply amazing and knowledgeable. Eddie the manager, he helped me a lot and went out of his way to help me. My experience at UP has helped me make better choices with my diet and I am the strongest I have ever been at 16.5%. I learnt about the importance of balanced diet and strength training and started seeing a difference in two weeks.

Ive never felt as comfortable in my body or as motivated to continue improving my fitness and nutrition as I do today. UP has honestly been life changing.I could not have done it without UP and, particularly, without Chris Weatherholtz.  From day one, he made sure to walk me through each exercise, explain proper techniques, check in on my diet and then adjusted my nutrition and workout plan based on my feedback and goals as well as his own observations about my progress. He pushed and encouraged me when we hit walls, kept me motivated and focused and was always super attentive. Comment: UP and more importantly, Emily, have saved my life. I signed up in September 2018 and began the life transformation and journey to live a healthy and long life without pain and limitations. Since meeting Emily, I have lost over 40 lbs and 6 inches around my waist and many more throughout my body.Emily is not only an incredibly knowledgeable trainer but in many ways it feels like she is more vested in my success than I am. In fact, the atmosphere that is created at UP is one of extreme positivity and motivation. From the very minute you step into the gym, everyone knows your name and greets you. Comment: UP has been life changing for me! I have to admit that I was skeptical when I signed up. I have tried every fad diet and workout to try to lose the weight that I have gained over the last few yearsI saw UP featured on the Channel 7 morning news and thought that I would try one more program! I started with the group class and started seeing results within a few sessions. I decided to sign up for one on one training with Chris. Chris is amazing. Comment: Ive been attending Ultimate Performance for 9 weeks now and its changed my life entirely, not only physically but mentally. UP has been the best decision Ive made for myself. This is by far the best gym Ive been to, the facility is clean and everyone is professional, and it is tailored to your body composition and no detail is left out. My coach Erick has been pushing me to do things I never thought I could accomplish, he never lets me quit. I have gone to other gyms and had tried other personal trainers but UP has been the only facility that has produced substantial results.I have been very obese for practically all my adult life, and I hadnt been under 300 pounds since I was 19 (currently 31). My previous attempts at fitness I would lose maybe 10-15 pounds max, but it would always come back. I started a 6 month program at UP at 316 pounds, and at the end of the program I have lost 70 pounds. I have also learned to listen to my bodys needs when it comes to food and have made fitness an enjoyable habit instead of an unwanted obligation.My trainer, Chris Weatherholtz, has been the key factor to my transformation. He was able push me to my limit during every session. He taught me proper form, technique, and built up my skill level from basically nothing. I was doing so many things wrong in the gym until Chris showed me how to do them right. But his work with me was not just confined to the gym. He would also monitor my weight, macro intake, and daily activity, making sure that I continued working toward my fitness goals beyond the time I spent inside the UP facility.While my fitness journey isnt over, UP has given me a life changing experience and has given me results that I realistically wouldnt be able to achieve on my own. Comment: Ultimate Performance has nothing short of an amazing experience and transformation for me. When I joined, I was weighing in at 186lbs / 84kg / 36% body fat and after 12 weeks I was at 156lbs / 70.76kg / 22% body fat, Now after 15 weeks Im at 148lbs / 67kg / 19% body fat. Needless to say I have transformed and am continuing to transform myself.Chris is my trainer, but the whole gym really does an amazing job of working closely with me and cheering on my progress. Everyone from Eddie to Dani and all the other trainers, it really is a very supportive environment to train in and the gym itself is top-of-the-line and unlike any gym Ive trained in before.As someone who works 12hrs or more per day and has a very stressful job, I was stress eating a lot. Even though I have a vegan diet, I wasnt eating right and my calorie count was very high. So when I joined UP, they changed the way I was eating and worked with my vegan lifestyle to make sure that they could create the ultimate nutritional plan for me and my day to day lifestyle. Chris is on me every day to make sure that I am working hard at my goals and making progress. If I come into stressful periods in my work and life, he adapts to my needs. Which really makes me feel comfortable.At the end of the day, I was a 3 sport athlete with many other sports as hobbies growing up, I also trained hard. After some injuries, I became lazy, ate poorly and the pounds started adding up. Tried training myself, tried other gyms and trainers, and nothing comes close to the effectiveness of Ultimate Performance, they have transformed me and my belief in personal training. Comment: Thank you to Ultimate Performance and my trainer Chris Weatherholtz! I joined 8 weeks ago and signed up for the 12 week Female Fat Loss Program. I was hesitant at first because I was nervous about weight lifting and sticking to a healthier eating lifestyle. It has been amazing!! I get my measurements and progress photos taken each week. I saw results right away and by 6 weeks I had abs!!! I no longer drink coffee (personal choice) but I have more energy and get up earlier than I ever did before. I have fun keeping up with my tracker and receiving feedback from Chris. I love having his accountability for my food choices as well as how much he pushes me in the gym. I would not have been able to get these results on my own.The program isnt easy, but it works. I feel so accomplished and proud of myself after each session. All of the trainers are really friendly and encouraging. There is a sense of camaraderie with the other clients. We all give each other knowing looks because we know how hard it is, but also that its worth it.Prior to coming to UP I was a member of Equinox for about 12 years. This is a completely different experience and I wish that I had found UP much sooner. Going to Equinox was fun, but I was just going through the motions and not seeing any real results. Comment: Ive been working out my whole life in some way or another but never seen any real changes in my body. I discovered UP and skeptically decided to sign on - I honestly thought their claims were a gimmick and had very little faith that it would work for me - maybe for those in their 20s or 30s but Im in my 50s. Boy - was I wrong. Im only 6 weeks into my 12 week journey and already I have lost 15lbs but even more importantly my body has changed drastically. I have tone and definition I never thought possible. My trainer, Emily, is a passionate professional who is infinitely knowledgable and extremely dedicated to my success. Its not like other gyms where you just see your trainer when you work out. Emily is in constant contact with me - making sure Im staying the course, checking in with my nutrition, guiding me and giving me helpful tips along the way. All the trainers and clients are there for a common goal and so working out amongst everyone there is incredibly motivating - you really feel that theyre part of your team as well. UP has not only changed my body but also my mind as it concerns fitness. I enjoy going to the gym now and challenging myself because I can see and feel the difference in my body and mind. My PT, Geoff is extremely knowledgeable not only in weight training technique but in nutrition and total body movement. UP made sure I was properly doing all the lifts in the correct way not only to not injure myself but to work muscle groups in the proper way.The facility is fantastic. Because this is personal training gym your arent waiting for racks or machines and your workout is all predetermined by your trainer based on your goals.I started seeing results almost immediately. I have been training there 6 months now and have dropped +40LBS. I have personally not felt so great in a long time. Generally, I have a lot more energy to participate in activities that I used to avoid before.I have learned counting all your macros is not as daunting and time suck as you might think at first. There are great apps out there that make it easy. Once you can get that down and couple it with proper weight training results will occur. There is no magic diet or fad workout routine.

Comment: I came across UP when a friend forwarded one of their online adds. I was in terrible shape and initially looking for some motivation to get me back into a consistent workout routine. So after my consultation, I decided to give them a try. Hand down the best overall experience Ive ever had with personal training. Not only do they customize a goal oriented strategy including a nutrition plan, but they actually maintain that plan by testing your body fat every 2 weeks, making sure you are properly following the nutrition plan, and taking before and after photos throughout your progression. When I started I was 205 pounds and 30% body fat. I am now 185 pounds and 15% body fat. Ive been consistently losing fat and gaining muscle through this process. What I like the most is that my trainer, Eric has been amazing in retraining me to lift using the proper technique after years of developing bad habits. All of these guys know you on a first name basis, theyre fun, professional and the facility is top notch. I recommend them to everyone I talk to.

Comment: My experience training at UP LA so far as been amazing. I started to see results in the first 2-4 weeks. Weight training has improved my fitness routine and knowledge on correct form. Comment: Im a 41 year old male and have been doing personal training with UP for about 6 weeks and Im very happy with the program. I was about 25-30 pounds overweight and about 29% body fat when I started the program. By week 3-4 Id gone down 2 belt notches...and people really started noticing the results and complementing my fat loss...my body fat % had gone down from 29% to 22% by week 4 or 5. I just finished 6 weeks of 3x per week training and look leaner, fit into pants i hadnt fit into in years, and started looking stronger and more muscular. I also feel younger and more energized. I like the results so much that Im extending by another 6 weeks to see what a full 12 week term will help me accomplish...at this rate it should be a nice six-pack or at least the outline of it :). For a guy in my 40s who was becoming fairly overweight, this will be a great accomplishment to get me back to how I looked in my mid 20s. Geoff is a fantastic trainer...very knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition, and pushes you to as hard as you can go without being overbearing. Comment: By far the best personal trainers in the world, finally UP has arrived to LA. I have trained with many trainers in many places, but none of them compares to the professionalism of the trainers at UP. They are passionate about helping clients achieve the goals and are super qualified in all aspects around trainging. You will learn a lot about nutrition, consistency, the way you train and lift and the results will show much faster than you expect, as long as you stick to their advice. I have been training since 10 weeks, lost 28.6 pounds and 15% of body fat so far and have consistently increased the weights I am lifting and the intensity of the exercises I am doing. If you are lucky enough to be able to train at UP LA, you definitely should.
