Comment: Yesterday I started my first trial class in Mission Beach. I went with a friend who always goes, so I decided to go with her. I wanted to start Fit because its close to where I work. First, the girl who helped me didnt even greet me or be friendly. She rudely made me fill out a form and then called Phil. He was very unpleasant and asked me why I had chosen the Mission Beach branch to start the trial when I live in Golden Hills. I explained that it was because I was with my friend. Then he didnt even offer me a tour to the gym. I felt discriminated maybe because my accent. They also questioned my friend who regularly attends Fit. The attention was really horrible. I dont understand how they can have people so Rude in a gym of this category. When I finish the trial day I left thinking they were going to talk to me about becoming a member but no one talked to me. They only returned my ID. Its a shame that there is such terrible service when the gym is so complete! Sadly I will not come back

Comment: Ive been coming to this gym since they first opened. I absolutely love it here! The rooftop deck over looking the ocean is my absolute favorite place for a warm-up before my workouts. The equipment, bathrooms, and showers are always spotless as well. I recently tried the cold plunge and Im so happy they have this amenity for us! Definitely recommend this gym in San Diego.

Comment: One of the cleanest most well managed Gyms I have ever been a member of. Besides being right on the boardwalk, this gym has someone cleaning machines and the bathroom constantly. I’ve never found any machine inoperable more than 1 day. Front desk staff is always so friendly, even at 6am! Everyone is so encouraging. Group classes are scheduled at reasonable times. They have social events for members very often. Reasonable monthly membership price. Options to have membership with or without full access. Loving their new COLD PLUNGE AREA!!! Highly recommend this gym.

Comment: Staff is very friendly and it’s clean (about as clean as a gym can be anyway). Love the amenities and the gym goers seem nice. Only thing that sucks is that a noticeable number of cardio machines have been down for a few weeks and there’s been no progress in fixing them. Also, the cardio machines randomly “lock” and people are unable to use them and there’s no way to unlock them. It’s a little frustrating when you’re paying as much as you do for it.

We told them we would go by and sign up on Saturday the last day of the promotion. Unfortunately, the gym closed early due to a music festival that day, but we were never made aware of that. Comment: We were looking forward to joining FIT Mission Beach but were apprehensive due to the high enrollment fee. Lucky for us, I received a promotional text message from one of the sales people on Thursday 9/28 letting me know they were running a promotion & if I had time to jump on a call to talk it through. I spoke to a person named Jordan who shared with me that they were waiving the enrollment fee for September. I told her I would come in on that Saturday with my fiancé to sign up. My fiancé and I biked over to the gym around 5 PM on Saturday super excited to finally sign up but come to find out the gym closed early that day for a music festival. And unfortunately, that was the last day of the promotion. Had I known the gym was going to close early that day we would’ve made it a priority to go first thing in the morning. I was never made aware of the special hours during the phone call I had with FIT on Thursday, nor were their business hours adjusted on their website. While standing in front of a prematurely closed gym, I texted the number from Thursday letting them know I was there & even sent a photo for proof that I was standing in front of the locked doors well before the time advertised they closed.Long story short, I reached out on Monday morning to check in to see if I could still take advantage of the offer because I was never made aware that the gym was going to close early on Saturday. But I was told no, they could only give me 50% off.Decent customer service isn’t rocket science. It’s pretty obvious what the right thing to do would have been in that situation. Total bummed out how we were treated. Could have easily gone in a different direction.

They have all the equipment you could need, along with several classes a week and nice amenities. I’ve also had such a great experience with the staff. They’re all extremely friendly and are such an important part of the overall experience here. I’ve also had a really positive experience with the manager Eric at Fit in Mission Beach. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed help with my membership, he’s gone above and beyond to help me. I so appreciate everyone here and truly enjoy going to Fit!

Comment: I came here to use my free trial at this location. I had toured a few of the other locations and had been deciding on which location to get a membership at. I unfortunately was unable to try this gym under the free trial I had been already awarded - and when speaking to the manager (obese and of hispanic descent) I was racially profiled (I’m a black woman) and told that I could not attend this location under any circumstances. It was not only embarrassing but extremely disappointing - especially since I had great experiences at the other locations and had been in touch with the marketing teams from other departments who even asked I keep them posted on my experiences at the other locations I visit. Not sure w where fit athletics missed the mark with this one.

To start, I absolutely LOVE being a Fit member and this location is the epitome of a luxury gym experience.With its breathtaking views, impeccable cleanliness, state-of-the-art equipment, and exceptional amenities, it truly stands out and has been my favorite gym Ive gone to!The ocean view is just gorgeous and I always feel motivated by the atmosphere.The facility is spotless and the equipment is some of the best. Not to mention, the rooftop area and luxurious saunas offer a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.I also find the staff so so friendly and professional. I truly look forward to coming in everyday and saying hi 🥰The only difficult part is parking, especially during the summer, but even still I think the value totally makes it worth it. Not only does it have a great view of the beach and rooftop deck to workout on, but theres a swimming pool great for lap swimming, sauna/steam rooms, classes, etc. amongst additional amenities. The two guys who are typically at the front desk in the mornings during the week (Eric and Felix) are also extremely kind & welcoming, along with all the other staff. Id highly recommend this gym to anyone and make sure to ask about the FIT Perx (discounts at local businesses) when you sign up :)

Comment: I am a visitor from abroad. I came into the gym on March 30 and signed up for the month of April and paid in full. Today they charged my card again even though I emailed them in writing that I’m putting in my 30 days notice on April 1.My other disappointment with this place is the lack of cleanliness and the terrible equipment dating back to the 1970s. I’ve been to gyms in the Soviet Union that have better equipment. Nobody re-racks their weights. No one picks up the towels scattered all over the gym and not a trainer in sight to help you find what you’re looking for. See pictures and don’t waste your money

The rooftop turf if beautiful, they have some free weight equipment and benches up there too. The dumbbell section was great with tons of weights to choose from. Cold towels for when you get sweaty - a high quality gym and will be returning when we go back.

Comment: This gym is the BEST. The facilities are absolutely amazing with treadmills/studio facing the ocean, tons of classes and steam room! The list really goes on. It’s definitely pricey compared to your run of the mill gym but for all the things you get, it’s a great deal… If you actually go lol. Aside from the gym itself, the staff are really wonderful. They always greet you when you come in and available to help. Specifically, just a few minutes ago one of the staff members Eric helped me fish out an air pod I stupidly dropped in a weird spot in the sauna. He is so friendly and helpful as well as the other staff and class teachers. I recommend this place to everyone so if you haven’t checked it out yet, definitely do- they have free day passes!

Comment: I’ve been a intermittent member to this gym for 3 years. But, I always return. The view/location and state of the art facility is just one of the reasons why this is the best gym in San Diego. All the staff, especially Eric the manager, always makes my visits exceptional. He goes out of the way to personally check in. If you’re intimated by the gym, the personal trainers can show you the ropes and the group classes are great. The bathrooms and equipment are always clean, as well. It can get busy during certain times but there’s plenty of equipment and you can always complete your workout. My personal favorite is the pleothora of food and beverage options, in case you forget breakfast or your pre workout!

Comment: This gym was ok. Beautiful location and views ofcourse. The parking is probably a nightmare in summer. Surprisingly very crowded. Had some cool interesting equipment but not a lot of equipment overall. Machines well maintained and appeared clean. For the most part it seems equipment was all put away and reracked. No one offered to even show us around so we kind of had to figure out the layout on our own. Overall for the price, the amount of equipment, and how busy it was I would not waste my money here

Comment: Threres no other gym that compares to FIT in SD. The facilities, the equipment and the trainers are the best in the biz. All the FIT locations are wonderful, but I typically go to Mission Beach because theres nothing like working out while watching the waves break right in front of you. Ive been training with Scott Kemp for over a year now and hes tailored my sessions to exactly what I need and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to your health and fitness. He has literally recused me from a full on Dad Bod! Thank you Scott and everyone who is always so accommodating at FIT. You guys rock!

Comment: Absolutely love this gym. I’ve been a member since April 2021 and initially gravitated towards this location because they were very intentional in sanitizing all the equipment and making sure everything was wiped down. Additionally the gym was never too crowded and who doesn’t love a view of the beach each morning as they work out.It’s been almost a year and a half of going to this location and I can’t imagine going to any other gym. The manager Eric is really great and you can see this in the way the location is run and maintained! The front desk is also so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone that is looking for a new gym location.

Comment: 4 star. No dedicated parking, shared with belmont park and beach goers makes summer parking difficult. Location is very interesting at the boardwalkand lends itself to great views and vibe. Only have 2 squatracks in a very busy central area. Views are a highlight. Membership prices serve as excellent demographic control.

Comment: I have taken all of Karissa’s classes (yoga, bootcamp, and barre) and I love them all! She is incredibly knowledgeable in fitness, yoga, mindset work, and sports anatomy. Her energy is magnetic and she knows how to pump us all up and push you to your athletic edge. I regularly leave her class sweating and pumped up. I highly reccommend her as an instructor and her classes for anyone looking for a powerful and mindful workout.

Comment: Possibly the best gym that i have been apart of. I moved to San Diego last September and Raushike was the first person i met. He showed the facility and made me feel so welcome after i became a member. Throughout my time going I met the most incredible people, Kalyn who i trained with gave me such great advice and encouragement. Daniel another trainer was just all around fantastic his energy was great and was good to talk with. And all the receptionists as well as upper management were so nice and welcoming. I was sad to leave this gym as it was such a comfortable space to work out in and become stronger but i know i will be back eventually:)

Comment: Been going to FIT for a solid few months now! Probably the best gym I’ve been a member at. The staff is super friendly, the equipment is always clean and available, the locker rooms are luxurious, and the view is incredible. I know for some the price point is a little high but personally, it’s well worth it! Definitely check it out, especially if you’re tired of those over crowded gyms with janky equipment.

Comment: In short, hella cool spot. Favorite gym ive ever trained at. Great staff. Really cool and chill owner. Amazing vibes and everyones super nice. I just moved here and its nice meeting friendly people in a new town.Ive been working out at this gym for a month now. I LOVE IT! I love running in front of the ocean and people watching as they walk on the pathway in front of the gym. It keeps your mind off the time.Additionally I love the rooftop free weights and workout area. Rowing in the open air, stretching and lifting outside is such a good vibe.The gyms weight area can get crowded at times, but high end machines and clean environment makes it nice to train.The gym is also really clean, so thank you to the custodian staff for an amazing job. Also thank to the staff at the front desk for being super cool and nice. I had the privilege of meeting Parker the GM recently, really chill and friendly guy. Lastly, I met the Owner as well and he was super cool and friendly to talk to.Favorite FIT I have been to in SD, although all of them are extremely nice, well kept, and high end. If youre new to SD and need motivation to workout or just somewhere nice to train, join FIT!

Comment: No one re-racks, few uses towels, the cardio area smells awful pm time so not recommended, the outside area definitely need maintenance the floor is uneven, and the app never works. My husband and i had to freeze and most probably cancel our membership. And yeah told the managers about this, the response was oh wow, well yeah, we can t control it.I say that’s a bigger problem.

Pools, saunas, imaculate locker room and shower area. The staff are SO KIND and WELCOMING to everyone....including out-of-towners. The price is only $10/day!!! I LOVE this place!!!

The beachside location is why you get this membership, it is beautiful. Parking can be difficult in when tourism is high, so make sure you go in the mornings during the weekends and summer.

Examples: Toilets are all simultaneously broken, lockers are broken, water bottle refill has been broken for a while, no jump ropes (have asked a few times now) staff doesn’t really seem to care. I had to ask for a tour when I came in, no one offered. Their Solana beach gym is much nicer.Parking is another issue which I’m not sure how they plan to address once the summer starts.The rooftop turf is incredible though.But yeah overall, not worth the money.

Comment: Im a member and Im ready to cancel. Its way too expensive. The worst part is they designed the gym to look cool instead of designing it to actually be a place to workout. The layout is poor and it feels cramped and crowded even when its not busy.I joined primarily to avoid the crowds at my other gym but I end up waiting more for equipment here then I do at cheaper gyms just because FIT has limited machines and lacks a lot of crucial equipment that even cheap places like shock fitness and EOS have. FIT has one.... yes ONE... machine for calves. Shock has 4. EOS has 6. FIT doesnt have a cable cross cage. EOS has 2. Shock has 3.FIT is like the Maserati Ghibli of gyms. People only get it because it looks cool and is prestigious.Join here if you want to be seen. If you want a serious place to workout, there are better gyms in the area for a fraction of the cost.

Friendly staff, indoor beautiful space, roof top outdoor workout space overlooking the ocean, lots of parking, beach front in Mission Beach, big, spacious locker rooms, with complimentary eucalyptus infused cold towels, sauna, pool with year round aquatic classes AND (SUP Yoga classes coming soon!!!!!) and eucalyptus infused steam room. Comment: Beautiful gym but gotta be honest... has more negative things than positive. Parking is an extreme hassle, the sun shines through the rooftop windows (who thought this was a good idea?) so it is impossible to do most workouts without being blinded by sunlight and losing focus. The weight room is really tiny compared to other locations and you’d think it would be way bigger due to the size of the whole location. Just a few people working out at the gym can feel like it’s super crowded. The rooftop location is very nice, the staff is very welcoming, and the views are great. But I’d definitely recommend going after sunset. Not a gym I would go out of my way to visit again, but certainly a nice location to workout at.

I should get a prize or something ;) I went to fit downtown for a while and was SO HAPPY THIS ONE OPENED CLOSER to me and, more importantly, closer to the beach!I am obsessed w the energy, the views, the brand new smell of the equipment (weird, I know).It is a bit smaller than I thought it would be but it literally has everything I need to make some gainssss ;)I can’t wait to watch so many sunsets while I do my cardio! So excited!!
